very useful... can I ask what you think about this noise I'm getting on my K1200r 2006?... It sounds as if there was a problem with a bearing but at the BMW dealership they've torn the whole thing down and they found some wear on the crown exactly where the bearing sits. They've told me the crown needs to be replaced, which I sincerely doubt. They say the bearing is perfectly ok... Hey I noticed when you install the new large oil seal in the next video it seems to be facing the opposite direction as the one you removed in this video. Is there a reason for that, or am I just mistaken? Asking because I'm having a hard time confirming the directionality of the part now that I'm reassembling my final drive (didn't pay enough attention when taking it apart). Thanks!

That's the reason i came to this vid. In other videos, i see that the seal is installed opposite to what is shown here. Neither the drawings nor manual provide any insight. Were you able to get a conclusive answer? EDIT: Found out that the seal is indeed backwards in this video but was corrected in the second video.
