My manual says NOT to change the rear diff fluid on my 2023 R1250GSA at 600 miles. That oil is seasoning the gears and bearings, creating a layer of varnish to protect them.

I just finished breaking in my 2023 rt1250. Traded my GSA in and have no regrets. Well except that smaller diameter wheel up front. Do you have any experience with older BMW’s?

It's not part of the official 600 mile service.

@@Dutchman0 It should be, when BMW has been putting the driveshafts together dry with no Moly paste lube on the splines, and people are reporting the shafts rusting and seizing in place. Don't ever pressure wash your BMW, you can get water ingress into the drive shaft channel.
