@@TonyDAdventures I didn't go directly from the GS. I've had 2 GS and 2 RS. I like the better handling of the RS and the taller gearing.

You may have been asked his before. The measurements at minute 5.41 are they the total width of the bike from right pannier to the left pannier? If not what is the width after you added the panniers (Luggage)? Do you know what the width would be with the OME ones? Very nicely presented and I like your accessories.

Hi yes. That's the total width of the panniers. Don't know OEM ones sorry but I think these would be slightly narrower.

Thanks for sharing. I do like the top boxes, in that you can open them from the top, as opposed to the OEM side loading, and the clever way you can open them - either front side or behind the bike is great. Also to me, it seems that these side cases are a little narrower(?) than the oem ones, which would put my mind at rest when filtering. Its good looking bike, but forgive me for saying this, but i couldn't live with the colour, but each to their own, you like it so that's all that matters and being a bright colour it's maybe more visible to other road users and therefore safer than a dark one.

Hi. I'm 6ft 2. No buffeting at all and the panniers do not get hot in the slightest. Those panniers are for sale as I have now sold the bike.

Hi, I just bought a 23 RS but haven't taken delivery yet. My last bike was an R1100RT. Hope I can ask you a few questions. 1. Did you have to order that smaller muffler to fit the H&B side rack for the Xceed side cases? 2. Why did you remove the Xceeds for two up touring? Was is it more comfortable for her for some reason? My wife is not so crazy about riding with me anymore but I'm curious if I would need different luggage if she did. Thank you love your videos!

Hi there:- Those panniers fit with the standard silencer fine. My (small) wife couldn’t get her heels on the rear pillion footrests therefore I used different panniers for twos up. Thanks for the comments, loved my RS will definitely be looking at the 1300 ❤️

Thanks! I couldn’t wait for the 1300rs. I suppose it will have the electric screen and weigh a lot less. Saved over 15% on a full spec light white with 3 miles on it, had to snap it up. Hope I can live with the color LOL!

Hi yes. The seat looks great and had a sporty feel but that's about it. I don't find it comfortable after a long day. It's very firm and not supportive on the sides like a Sargent seat. Sargent seats are way better. I would suggest not buying this is you like long days but short sporty blasts it's great for that.

They are made by a guy in Sweden. I have just actually sold it too! He was contactable on one of the RS forums. It's a great bit of kit and also moved the box back 50mm as the standard one is a bit tight for the pillion space.

Nice machine. Did you look at the R1250R as an option? I rode the RS last week and had some wind buffeting on my helmet. I also found the seating position a bit too far forward for me. Just sold a Ninja 1000SX, too many issues with vibrations and buzz, also not great at all 2 up. I am deciding on getting this or the R model, any thoughts? Ride safe👍

Wind buffeting is only down to the individual rider and where he likes the wind to hit. That MRA screen eliminates all for me. The R1200R has shorter gearing and zero wind protection. I had one, not in same league for mile munching.

I read the comment that you wired the USB socket direct to the battery. Does this drain the battery at all with the LED voltage display? I have one of these but my BMW garage won't wire it in for me as they say it can invalidate the warranty 🤬 Any help gratefully appreciated. Thanks, David

Hi. This particular usb socket had a built in isolator switch for just that reason.

I have now sold the bike. I loved every minute of owning it. The only downside I would say was my legs were slightly too long for the seat/peg gap over long journeys and twos up it’s a little cramped. I will definitely be looking at the R1300RS when that emerges!
