Thank you! I spent the better part of three years working on it to get it to this point. Removing the hump from the back sidecar tub wasn't too bad. I used a small high cycle and ground it off. The hard part was filling in the slot with weld. I used small bolts with flat washers to hold things together even. A friend did a beautiful job welding it....

Quite welcome! I'd be happy to share any info that may be of help. I got most of my parts from Oldtimer Garage out of Poland. Blitzbikes bikes has some nice stuff too....I've been a member of the 352 inf. Div. since 1991 but recently started doing events with the 5th Gebirgsjägers....Hindsight being 20/20, you might want to grind just enough off the hump so that you can hammer the rest flat....The more you grind out, the harder it may be to fill in with weld!

Awesome work! I'm looking for a sidecar to continue our trip, the one wheel trailer for our dog is OK, but we want a sidecar. At the end of this year we are shipping our bike from SE asia to north america....we will see, maybe i find one there. Good luck and have fun with the BMW!

Did the fake frame info plate cause any problems while registering the bike?

If I am not mistaken, the RAL-number is 7021.

gearbox is not BMW R71. That is Soviet motorcycle K-750
