Valve cover gasket leak, vacuum line, plus new brake pads and rotors (carbon ceramic brakes need both at the same time) were absolutely not cheap. The staggered tires won't be cheap to replace either, and it drinks premium fuel faster than I thought it would. Fortunately my car is a 2015 so it doesn't have timing chain issues, and the previous owner (my dad) properly maintained it. I've spent more on maintenance and operation than any other car. If it wasn't a convertible with amazing handling, I would have gotten something like a Honda or Toyota. It's just too fun to drive.

I’ve had two . A 2006 318i coupe petrol manual . And now I have a 2009 320i coupe MSport . It’s an old car but it’s such a pleasure to drive . It’s worth the few euros I’ve had to invest in it . New Timing chain , battery , tyres. I recently drove it down to Lanzarote Canary Islands 🇮🇨 from Ireland 🇮🇪. 4 days it took . Two overnight cruise ferries. 12 hrs driving . It was crammed with luggage and equipment . Full roof box. Myself my fiancé and my dog . We spent 9 weeks down there . I did my PADI Divemaster course . Then before we journeyed back to Ireland I had it serviced and checked on the island - €125 including a diagnostic . The drive home was great and I’m still driving it . One of the injectors was a little bit growly when cold so I added some injector cleaner fluid to a full tank of petrol . Much better . 115,000 km on the clock . It still has a lot of power and sticks to the roads . If you don’t like BMW - don’t buy one . But stop wining like little bitches about them please ! It’s embarrassing. 😂

That is true, have you ever done a valve stem seal change? The seals cost 40 buck, the tools cost 500-1000 buck. Will probably take you a few days if you havent done one before. Valve stem seals are notoriously bad on the n46 engines. If you accidentally drop the stem into the cylinder or didnt change the colar bolt and it snap LOL!!. Yep do it yourself. I totally agree and I have also created videos on that topic. The b58 and B48 engines, while not perfect, do put out more power and so far appear to be leagues more reliable than the old n54 and even better than the older n55.
