We're running through a car lot today and I'm going to show you the least reliable cars I have ever seen! These are quick and dirty car reviews with some of the most unreliable cars and SUVs out there today. Of course, this is my opinion and I can't guarantee all the ratings, but I've been rating car reliability for years now and I can tell you that lots of these are cars that won't last.

For people who don’t do their research, the Bronco 2.7 had a batch of less than 60 engines that had issues and that was in 2021 after that it hasn’t been an issue. Compare that to Tundras 100k engines being recalled for engine failure, now that’s an issue. All manufacturers have issues and some more than others. One thing I know for sure is don’t buy the 1st and 2 nd year of a major vehicle refresh!

@@mpeugeot2.7 has been around since 2015 and revised in 2019. It is a reliable engine with exception to that bad batch in the 2021 Bronco. I also have a 2021 Bronco with the 2.7 for 3 years now and no issues!

That’s true, never buy 1st gen. products unless they have a good track record. Thats why I only own old Toyota/Lexus. I don’t like their new trucks at all, and everything else is even worse. Unfortunately, the golden era of automobiles has passed.

@@zhila5958not a mechanic, but I know that the 2.3 in the Focus RS had bad head gaskets and a couple years of the Mustang had some issues, but I would say they are dependable! Nothing we’ll ever be perfect, because manufacturers buy material and or parts from manufacturing plants, so car manufacturers can sometimes buy faulty parts!

I'm an old guy...been around a while now and the most unreliable cars I have owned are a VW Beetle...piece of crap! The second money pit I owned was a Chevy Z 24...it was a true lemon that no matter what you did it broke down over and over and over! The best American made cars I owned were Olds cutlass supreme...I owned 3 of them and the Buick LeSabre...really the engine was the same in these cars back then. The 350 Olds Rocket! Great motor!

I have never bought a new car in my life because I could never afford one and it certainly isn't getting any better. I try to buy the most reliable vehicle with the least amount of miles on it that I can afford. The research I have seen has shown that there is always something to look out for with every vehicle in existence so it's all one big crap shoot. Buy whatever makes you happy and know that it is built to fail like every other thing in America. Everything is meant to separate you from your money so have fun with whatever you want to have fun with.

I had an 2020 VW Atlas V6 with 4motion bought it brand new. Changed the oil every 4 thousand miles, use Pennzoil Ultra Platium, ran only premium fuel. Put 87,000 miles on it not one issue. It did get poor fuel economy. Traded it for a Tiguan.

I own a c300 and I agree the engine has a little noise when cold. I love Mercedes after having owned a Range Rover. Not impressed with them. Glad to hear I’m not the only one that noticed the 3.5 issue. It’s weird how smooth and quiet it is once warm though.

ive NEVER heard or seen ANY of these issues you pointed out on the Caravan....they literally the pinnacle of Dodge vehicles, super reliable and cheap to fix....and ive worked for Dodge as a tech for 23+ years....ive NEVER seen a Caravan with tranny issues...and the engine issue is usually the oil filter housing and that is normally caused by idiotic oil charge quick lube places tightening it down to far cracking the housing...the interior? its utilitarian and is great for the price....and when it does break the caravan is DIRT CHEAP to fix... Id like to see your 5/5 top tier cars...i guarantee you i can find more problems with them than you listed for the Caravan. This guy has it out for domestics brands and is clearly a sellout for Imports, id take more reliable info from a actual TECH not some guy on youtube that has never turned wrenches for a living. He keeps referring to TIPM's in Jeeps....THEY HAVENT HAD TIPM'S SINCE 2015!!!! THEY DONT HAVETHEM ANY MORE!!! And That SRT "known for supercharger issues" IT DOSNT HAVE A SUPERCHARGER MORON!!! purchased a Mercedes CLA 250 when they first came out. Loved it until it began stalling for no reason. Worst time was on a highway under construction running through the middle of a large city. I was beyond blessed that the one foot shoulder expanded to a slightly wider shoulder that allowed me to pull over (coasting), put it in park, re-start it. Otherwise, I would have come to a complete stop on a highway and deal with whatever is coming up behind me at full speed while I'm essentially parked in a lane. I went to the dealership a few days later and he was able to pull up my driving on his computer and could see the stalling and his response was "oh ya, that's been happening with the CLA250's". Stunning. Traded it in a week later for a Tundra.

That Honda SI is a piece of junk. I had one. The gas from the top injectors used to get past the piston heads and fill the oil pan with gas. It's common in the 1.5 liter engine. Honda got a class action lawsuit over it.

Good morning sir! Happy Labor Day weekend. I visited Nissan of mission hills in California with the intention of purchasing a Nissan versa base model priced at $16,999 K the cheapest car on the market but that price is the manufacturer asking price the dealer asking price was $22,999 on top of their addons $5000 K more plus taxes and all of that B / S with finance that Cinderella car had turned into a $40, 000 K car 🚗 I decided not to get robbed and left across the street from Nissan was hammer Toyota and they sure lived up to their name they were no different than Nissan big time 🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀

Afternoon Mark. For the mustangs, the mach 1 at least comes with a tremec for the manual trans......supposed to be better than the getrag, but i never had a chance to try 1. Also, for the 2025 mustangs with the 2.3l, they are finally putting dual injection systems on them. Not my personal engine choice, but a big plus for ecoboost fans.

I had a used 1999 Saturn SL1 that carried me to190k before I sold it. I only had to do a head gasket early on and then a new radiator not long before I sold it. My next car was a used 2006 Kia Spectra. I had a wiring harness partially melt not long after I bought it which cost me $1800 to get fixed. That sucked for sure. My wife has a 2013 Kia Optima which needed a new engine. That sucked also. No more Kia for me. I currently have a 2010 Scion (ie. Toyota) Xb. She drinks a bit of oil due to the weak piston rings in this particular engine, but otherwise it's been a good reliable car for the past 5 years. My key takeaway to reliability is simplicity of the car, maintenance by the owner and history of the manufacturer.

I've had several Wranglers with no problems. Since they are aluminum bodies how do they rust? And the death wobble is mostly on ones that have been modified all though it can happen on any solid axle vehicle. Also had a Tiguan with no issues. I do have the honda 1.5L T, BUT I bought it new and honda gave me a 10 year limited life time warranty on it... soooo ya know , it's no so bad. I always have oil changes done at honda and I do oil changes every 3000 miles. I only put 3000 miles on it a year.

Where is the Camry? This car has had it's number of very bad issues, yet you never say it is unreliable. Why not? It is ugly, plagued with issues for years, has cheap plastics through out. Interior is bland and very dated. Smaller engines have a lack of power. Trans issues, brake issues plus more, but they have never been on your worst vehicles list?

Even if you pick that well informed ride there's other outside perils. Like theft, collision, flood, tree branch etc. Some could be overpaying on fuel or insurance long-term. More than the cost of say of a replacement wretched CVT, turbo etc. There's different ways of looking at things. Generally a ride is cost for convenience.
