Quick question on how to disable auto dimming of idrive 6 screen (cluster panel) in bMW X3 G01 2019. I have this issue that during a bright day screen stays bright but when evening/ night time or clouds come screen turnes darker and there is no way of turning it back to a bright stay. My screen brigtness settings are set to a max setting, thanks for your help in advanced.

Hi there. this changes due to you night time running lights being on auto. If you run in to this issue just manually control your running lights.

@@DenverCoutu thank you, yesterday i changed position from automatic running night time lights "auto" to "o" and stoped under a bridge and for some reason my screen turned darker again since i was in a shade but after start driving pass the bridge it turned back to a bright screen. Please advise why this issue is not fixed with auto dimming screen.

@@yevgenmelnikov1982 I believe the car has an internal dusk sensor, it’s actually designed not strain your eyes. If you drove another brand without the dusk sensor you’d notice the strain the bright screen has whilst you are driving in the dark. I haven’t seen a way to manually adjust it but I do think it’s a quality feature.

Hello. My car is bmw 640i 2018. The idrive looks like similar. But I could not found the option to control interior lights. There is an option only for exterior. Can you tell me please maybe I can enable the feature to control interior lights?

@@Samir-oe7zf This is why I'm holding off on 2019 M5. It's dumb that in this modern age, you'll get a $90K+ car that is designed for those using Apple phones only. I can't drive here in NYC without Waze and I will never use an Apple phone.
