BMW S1000RR Custom CLUTCH SWITCH Replacement for BMW Motorcycle QUICK SHIFTER Fix

This is how to replace the BMW s1000rr custom clutch switch and actuator that can cause problems with the quick shifter and on these bikes. If the clutch microswitch isn't working properly, it can disable the BMW motorcycle quick shifter and cruise control, and the other switch on the component is for s1000rr launch control. This started as a 2010 BMW s1000rr custom parts bike with attack rearsets s1000rr on it and was upgraded to a BMW s1000rr 2018 model engine and electronics, which meant it then had the BMW motorcycle shift assist that had both up quickshifter and auto blipper for downshifts. After the quickshifter install converting it to a quick shifter motorcycle up and down, the attack performance rearsets s1000rr had to be converted for motorcycle shift lever adjustment. @FITNESSOVER45 that would be my first guess. sounds like your bike isn't seeing the clutch pulled in when in gear, so that's where i'd start looking too.

screwdriver? i don't recall. i think those are torx screws, but no idea what size it was offhand.

My quick shifter is not working at all, my CC is fine. I did the plate reversal to close the lower micro switch as you mentioned on your video and did the gear 1-6 reprogram. My QS is still not working, should I assume the microswitch is damaged? Do you know is there's a way to check the microswitch with a multimeter for continuity? I have a 2016 S1000R, but the double microswitch is the same.

if it were me, based on what you said, yes, i would change the microswitch as it's much cheaper than the QS device replacement.

Hello , i have the problem wich cant fixed. I wash my motorcycle and left multifunctional controller stopped working. I bought new one and its still not working. I checked wires and everything looks fine in wires. I checked cluster dashboard and it have some problems inside cause of water. If anyone knows if the cluster is damaged inside cause of the water, it will takes effect to left multifunctional controller?

i've been washing motorcycles my whole life and i don't think i've ever had an issue from it. Granted, i always let them sit for a while before using them, just in case there is any water inside anything, it can evaporate out and not cause shorts. Most modern bikes are sealed really good though. the switch housing seems more likely to get water in it somehow than the cluster, but i have no idea what might be wrong.

Any idea where I can get that little bolt that fastens the switch?

the only place i know you can get it is with the switch from the dealer, which would be the fastest/easiest choice. you could try online searching for that screw (i don't know what size it is but the dealer might know) to see if you can find one, but last time i tried something like that, i had to buy 100 in a pack. it's obviously a unique size, so it might be hard to find by itself.

i don't quite understand your comment, but i think the '12 model is like my '10 originally was. it has a horizontal QS for upshift, but no blipper for downshift, and i don't think it has the clutch switch in this video either.

i don't as i already tossed the packaging, but if you go to maxbmw website, they have the complete parts diagram and you can find it there. They have part number, cost, can order right there, and even weight on a lot of the parts. That's where i look for everything, and where i found these parts.
