I guess BMW did learn a lot during the codevelopment of the Z4/Supra with Toyota. Toyota scrutinized each and every part of the BMW's B58 and B48 engine to make sure they are up to Toyota's standards.. On the otherhand, ZF gearbox is known to be bulletproof..

Such a false comment. BMW had already made the B58 for years before Toyota bought it from them. They tested it themselves and agreed it didn’t need any modifications to meet their reliability standards.

They learned nothing from Toyota… Toyota texted the B58 and found it was more than sufficient for their standard. Look into it, they’ve made the B58 for years and years before anything for the Z4 of Supra
