BMW water pump bench test. E60

Nice video. I just pulled a bad pump out my daughter's car. I checked the harness for voltage before pulling. Wires were sending volts at correct times. After I pulled it, I bench tested it to see if I could at least get something out of it. It's dead. I'm going to do a quick test on the new one before I install it, to make sure it works. I ordered a cheap one off Amazon and all the KZbinrs say, it won't last. But,for less than half the cost I have to find out for myself.

From my research be sure to replace the u shaped hose between w/pump/Themo that hose shrinks and swells with the heat from block causing coolant to flow top of housing eventual contracting cover till cracking or the sealant gives between cover and unit. I suspect the rvt sealeant used is crap. but to open a unit and waterproof micro controller board and put Honda rvt on unit should last a bit longer lol Even on eBay units. Cause they all fail due to water intrusion......

Please more details how to wire to bench test it I supplied 12v to pin 1-3 than Suplies ground to pin 2 is this correct?

Connect test leads/wires to 1 and 3. Green and red in the video. Connect both of them to your 12 volt +. Power souce. Then connect a ground wire, black in the video to #4. To your power source. #4 is the ground -

So if 1 doesn't have power what is it? I have power to 3 and 2 but not 1

Nice video i have a issue with my beemer 535i 2013 this is the 3rd water pump i buyeed and still not reading the computers still giving me over hit and said error water pump still missing
