Is this for the "Service engine soon" light? I tried and it did not work on my 2007 X3. Does it go off immediately or after driving a bit?

K D i have the same issue. Apparently your suppose to do it after a new oil change.

I tried that on my 2005 BMW X3 car wouldn’t start and I can see EML on dash , when I turn key in ignition no sound. Tried even jump start and disconnect battery for 15 min reset oil change and reset the service light. Still same. But the day before had coolant leak that might cause the engine shut down, but git home ok only next morning it wouldn’t start..

After $1200 new starter replacement at Bmw Dealarship it starts now 🙈🥜
