The BMW X3 offers everything you'd expect from what has become the mainstay of the German marque's SUV range. While the latest version doesn't push the brand's styling into unfamiliar territory, it excels in those areas that BMW has traditionally been hard to beat, namely handling, ride and driver enjoyment. It's a great car for passengers, too, with a comfortable, high-quality interior and generous helping of standard equipment. The BMW X3 doesn't come cheap - the latest model has a higher starting price than its predecessor - but it comes close to leading the pack for all-round appeal.

BMW X3 is at the top of it's class. They have much more space and better safety features than the MB GLC. Drives better and more luxury than the Audi Q5 & Volvo XC60. It might not be the best looking exterior and interior, but it is the most well rounded.

Boot lips are good for stopping loose items falling out of the boot when you open it. The obsession with “flat boot lips” is just non issue always being picked on by all car reviewers.

I love the interior design it’s clean and simple, nothing in your face and no learning curve. I can see however that some may think they are boring or safe. Personal preference I suppose

Refined? I'm 100% sure I could easily tell it's a diesel from the outside, and from just minuscule focus from the inside. The fact that the sound's massively dampened inside doesn't mean it's "refined". Especially a bloody four-pot diesel.

pb5x5 I would think that BMW have pushed their suv more into the premium range market. If you want a 25k suv maybe your looking at a Mazda or a Kia

Rodisflawless the point is you get the looks without the added engine cost in initial cost and fuel. If you won't use an engine to it's full potential and dont really care, why buy an M car when you can get some of the bodykit

Boring car. Interior has dated quickly, looks horrendous as all BMW SUVS do, no diesel clatter. All other BMW reviews they moan about the 187hp 2.0d being clattery when cold or at idle, buy a Volvo XC60 or Audi Q5. Way better cars.
