BMW X4 M Competition Review Best High Performance SUV?

The reason it’s ruff is because the car came through probably with the continental tires sport contact 6 tires when you switch over to the Michelin pilot sport 4 the car rides like it’s on a piece of glass. That’s exactly what I did with mine the continentals are not made for regular every day use they are made for the track. The Michelins are awesome!

@@alvpha tbh not really, x6M got about a 100 more HP. I strongly believe the X4M comp is the best bang for your buck

I've put a deposit hold on a low mileage 2022 X3M Comp and am going to check it out next week. Seems like a perfect all around vehicle for me (as a dad of 2 but also a gigging musician who needs that extra space to haul guitars, speakers, etc) On paper, I think the m40i looks similar but there are guys on the Bimmerforum cracking into the high 10's 1/4 mile with just a tune and E50. No way in hell the 40i can keep up with that.

I drive this in the UK. It was interesting hearing the exhaust note. In the UK, we have emission regulations, which basically means my X4M Competition sounds like its had its balls cut off. The exhaust sound is night and day difference 😆

Yeah I herd the particular filters in Europe make the M cars sound a lot more tame compared to the North American ones :(

I just purchased the 69 plate - is there anything else that you heard or felt with driving the x4M that would be good to know? For the 2019 I heard low performance for torque given the size of the engine

I have a 2023 X4 M4OI, and it rides really nice, but it's very acceptable to wind. On a windy day you can't enjoy it. I love to get my hands on an X4 M Competition. To see how it holds the wind because I like the looks of mine

Dont agree.....m401 and x3m are similar that they have 4 wheels...,.ok im being tough......but......m40i is the much smaller brother to the x3m and righfully so as it is a full 30k cheaper. I have a 2020 x3m c, and its amazing and looks much better in the back anyway then the newer ones. Interior is better than the new all digital dash and not fun to have to go into the menu to turn on heated seats and aeration....etc..... Dont find my x3m uncomfortable at all, stiff yes, but worth is for the sublime porsche like handling. Drove a 911 turbo s for 350k....too expensive, this car is a bargain and practical.

the rear bumber is the biggest disappointment with the ugly black valence and those reflectors. absolute deal breaker. i wanted to like this car sooo bad but just can't get over the bumper.
