I’ve been using a Bosch green laser instead of a string for my centerline. Makes it much easier to see and I know it straight every time. Great info btw.

Do you have a guide on how to replace the heated radome cover? And is calibration required after that?

I don't understand why the mirror is installed on the oem tool when in reality all you need is the aluminum plate. What is the purpose of the mirror?

Can this feature be added to an X5 G05 that didn't come with the radar installed from the factory by adding the hardware then using the BMW software to add the module to the system?

Hi, BMW software does not have the option to add acc , there might be some aftermarket tools capable of doing that such autel , and you need to update the vehicle order so the rest of the computers on the data bus will communicate with the ACC radar. And the vehicle order is unique to each Vin and options for that vehicle. Once you change the vehicle order the ACC it should work.

Thanks for the video. Great info! My car has 5AU from factory but the front radar is mounted off center and it looked weird. However, the dealership refused to re-mount it. They claimed they cannot cover the re-calibration work under warranty since it functions as designed. I guess it wouldn't be smart to move the radar without re-calibration. Any thought?

@MrNikaHD I ended up just ignoring it since it does function properly. Let me know if you have better luck. I wonder if you can get away with a minor adjustment (by dealer) without recalibration
