great work yardman but this is why i paid my mechanic 1300$ to replace my oil pna gasket in my bmw 335i N54 i didnt want to do this and possibly die in my 1 car garage. he replaced all alumium bolts and did my all 3 oil pump bolts while i their and one was broken off! glad i paid to get it done this looks so risky but amazing completion!

damn n54 oil pump bolts break? i had one and did a oil pan gasket in my home garage wasn’t that bad but i didn’t know about the oil pump bolts so didn’t check that.

Ok, so the car is 6000 lbs and you have it lifted with four Jack stands which is 1500 lbs each and then you have the Jack stand sitting on the plastic ramp with four points which is 375 lbs per point on the plastic ramp I don't think it was designed to hold that. It is very scary how that car did not fall and squash you. Great job on explaining things but you need to secure the car better in the future or you won't live to make another video.

I tip my hat to you sir! I am looking at buying another E53 that has a leaking pan gasket. Seeing how miserable this job actually is will influence at least my bid, if not entirely 86-ing the whole plan to buy it lol. And I thought a clutch replacement on a Porsche 931 on a dirt floor was a nasty task. It was cake, compared to this. ;-)

Bro, what you did to hold that engine up is sketchy as F$ck. Go to harbor freight and spend the $130 for an engine cradle. Good job otherwise.

remember my video is not just for people in a country with harbor freight. DIY does not mean I should everything that is in a shop. thanks for the comments though.
