In my shop it would be 10 hours of bodywork only, plus paint R&I door etc. BMW store would change the door for sure. I guess your customer was really on tight budget, he could pay you few more hours to take at least door panel/ handle off. Very nice to see you constantly upload videos. Still work needs to be done with your MIC and resolution quality.

Thanks for the comment George, it had nothing to do with his budget. He specifically requested me personally, and did not want to go to The Body shop. Specifically requested me again like I said, so he knows my work and he was very satisfied

If you put some pressure on the low first, a nice soft tip. Really move some of the low up. And then tap down the crown you will half your time spent on the crown work. The crown wont want to move back down unless you help it with some pressure on the low.

CCB TV thanks for your comment, you’re right about that with the soft tip, the only problem with this BMW door is that it was filled with intricate mechanisms and braces that made it near impossible to work from the inside, meaning I really had not much choice but to do everything from the exterior

@@Petersondent for this type of damage where you cant get a tool behind, may I suggest the k bar from keko. You can pull immense controlled power using glue with that tool. Far more so than either a slide hammer or mini lifter. Even using the k bar would have reduced the time taken on that crown and a cleaner repair. Not knocking you at all, just pointing out some ways to help speed and and get cleaner repairs. Which is the ultimate goal of course.

Good job Garth, I would have passed on this door unless it’s removed I’ve done similar dent on the upper bodyline but not that severe and the brace was a nightmare all the best to you and your family

When looking to the picture before the result is nice. Drive-able if you will. I would have called the large dent at the body line „forget it“ . My estimate for a new door with paint job full service is close to 4T€ and may still end up with a shading difference in the paint.

Thank you for your comment Russ, yes this was an extremely difficult project. The door had been opened very hard into a tree, And he Was ecstatic that I was able to get it out to the level I got it out at. Believe it or not there are real people in the world that don’t expect perfection, and when you’re in this craft a lot of trolls out there that as soon as something that you can do to perfection. And with all due respect some teeny weenie dings do come out 100% but I digress...This is beyond paint was dent repair, he had been turned down by several other PDR professionals and was extraordinarily grateful that I took the job on
