I found this movie (if something is slightly less than an hour in length, does it still count as a movie) that is a CG animated retelling of the story of Joshua. The characters are supposed to be bipedal lions, but they don't look like them due to the fact the animation is worse than Reboot. Also one of the female Lions has a mane. Make of that what you will. It's all available for free on Dailymotion: www.dailymotion.com/video/xwe1to_joshua-and-the-promised-land-wmv_shortfilms?start=694#.UW1udCtvtQc

So fun fact: the John Waters references are just confusing to those who only know the celebrated Australian actor and Play School host of that name. Who isn’t gay, isn’t known for directing and is known for having a more tasteful repertoire. (Yes, John Waters and not John Hamlin)
As much as I love Mistress my favorite episodes are crossovers because I love to see her torment other reviewers. It is not only entertaining but it introduces me to new critics I have never even heard of: Magic Steve, the Rap Critic, that cute Christian guy (can't remember his name), and the Viking guy. But most of all screwing screwing with NC that is pure gold :-)

As one of your Australian fans - I've never heard of this film and whats sad is that as far as kids entertainment from Australia goes - this probably looks like the best we've got! This also came from the era when our film industry was at its most consistently good both in terms of commercial success AND quality (the 70's, 80's and about half the 90's, maybe) - not saying other films from later or earlier points in our industry were bad, just...those that were were films that were literally buried underneath crap ones and generally half a decade apart, if you were lucky. Just saying, if you WERE to go looking, you'd be able to find far worse movies from Australia than this. Particularly before the era I specified.

+DiamandaHagan Or OZ a 1976 rock opera thats an "Australian-ified" version of The Wizard Of Oz which has a tagline that says everything with "Take a trip down the highway with Dorothy" or the cheesier "Follow the Yellow Rock Road" and has the biggest star of the film be Bruce Spence who was Jedediah The Pilot in Beyond Thunderdome...see what I did there? Its also, obviously, not directed by Brian Trenchard Smith but it honestly looks like they were trying to go with a Ziggy Stardust fever dream, then ran out of money so they put three quarters of it in the outback (I'm using the trailer to justify that conclusion as I can't find a copy of the fucking film) - so its basically The Adventures Of Priscilla for the 1970s

Just to clarify for the Critic...... I in fact did not enjoy Fury Road. Because Max spent the whole movie being a bitch, an ass, or a generic crazy man he's never been before, and the damn movie sure didn't hammer home that there was a shortage of gas, food, or bullets in that universe. But compared to BMX Bandits, that movie was divine!

On the subject of radio waves and walky talkies. I AM NOT SURE how it works in Australia, but in the USA, radio wave frequencies generally divide up like this. 1) Military frequencies. 2) Airline frequencies 3) telecommunications signals (phone companies) 4) radio broadcast frequencies 5) Short range frequencies Category 5 is mostly police and fire use and there are only about 9 channels available for them to use. I was a radio operator with a california park service for 4 years. Because of shared frequencies, I heard most of the fire department and police for a 20 mile radious. AND, in emergencies, we all generally switch to the same one on one channel for radio (that is still an anyone-can-tune-in-radio-wave, but it is procedure/etiquette not to eat up time on that wavelength). And, this I did not study for, the only difference between a police radio and a walky talky is power to affect range. I can remember (pre cell phone) at comic conventions, me and my friends using walky talkies to stay connected, but every time we walked near the firetrucks or cops outside the plaza, we got their signals. We were on the same wavelength, we just had shittier equipment that could not emit or recieve longer range signals. So, in this movie, yeah, I can see this radio mix up happening easily. THOUGH the director overrated the tech literacy of the audience. So it ruins suspension of disbelief by being realistic, ironically.
