the learning curve on airs is so crazy. once you get past that initial fear of both tires over the coping, the rest comes naturally

I had nasty frash at 38 and our park was closed for like 2 years I'm 40 and want to learn to properly air so I get ya

I'm a 36 yo mountain biker but I found a skatepark on a ride one day with lots of different sized quarters. Thought it looked so fun so I got a BMX off marketplace, fixed it up real nice, and headed down. After an hour I really started building skills and gaining confidence until I went too fast into a quarter, panicked, & ditched the bike... I'm determined to head back and catch some air after this vid thank you

Same here only ride mtb, I'm 38 and picking up a bmx of marketplace tomorrow lol

Yo you don’t need air yet. If you just approach it with speed and don’t move your arms the bike will keep going past there. It takes no skill to ride out

This video is so old and so short and still the most helpful one around. I never thought about going sideways first, I always try and go straight on and 180 and it just freaks me the fuck out, but that's what every video said to do first. His sideways small rotation looked so much easier to get comfortable with

I wanted tips on waiting for your rear tire to hit but he didn't even talk about it. I have a bad habit of hopping earlier so I case often and can't go much higher than 2-3 ft above coping

U know what. Im kinda scared of going over the coping. I can go straight up a quarter and do a 180 and go straight back down but not over the coping. But tomorrow.. Im gonna ride some bowl and Im gonna try to just send a 180 over the coping

I'm left foot forward, butdo flat ground 180's to my left, but when i'm practicing airing quarters, i go right.... am i dumb? it just feels safer and more natural.. i've been riding for about a year, and skateboarding for 12+ years. on a board riding regular(left foot in front), i 180 to my right. I feel weird.

@80slimshadys7 жыл бұрын
Its never a bad idea to learn both ways but generally speaking, finding the easiest side and sticking to it at first will help you perfect it better than randomly spinning anyway and not having perfect control. Im left foot forward and spin to the right. But you do you
