I'm almost 27 (took 5 years off after nearly 10 in a row because I realized last year how much i missed riding) doing better than ever. Got tricks on the bucket list checked off like tailwhips and Superman's. Wear not just a helmet but full body armour (shin, ankle, knee, elbow, impact shorts, maybe even back and chest plates. Gives some serious confidence! Keep goin till we can't 😎🤙💯

As a 47 year old Bmx rider my advice is hit the streets and work on basic stuff like hops and bike control. And lots of push ups and pull ups 👍🏻👋

in your shoes i would highly skip rail slides and its friends for a while till the base balance is not more stable. like you could do allmost 270 tire tap . try doing some abubaca or some manual stuff , the easier but balance heavy stuff so when rails come in place you can maintain the level . on the video its shows that you tapping the rail instead of slide , ofc the longer you stay the more harder to balance thats why you jump of early . keep up the good work mate and enjoy it as much as possible

at 1:10 . you could practice just goin up to the top do an abubaca or just brake on top of it and let your weight roll backwards. and try to balance , and pedal slowly with a minimal of holding force so you learn properly how to roll back in a longer surface . a super straight 180 on a road also do the same just dont turn out with the brakes instantly , let it role so you learn that part .

Get on it, that was part of the reason I was getting into it, I enjoy it and I can keep a eye on the kid whilst he is down the park , mine needs another year or two , saving up to get him a 16 inch bmx for Christmas though so will be good 👍
