I saw Gruntruck in '93 with a band called "Muthas Day Out". It was toward the end of Gruntruck's "Push" tour

Outside AIC & Soundgarden, BnB got me into Gruntruck & plenty of other rock/grunge bands I hadn't even heard of. It was so goofy & dumb but at the same time, if you really paid attention you could find some hidden gems & really expand your musical palate.

Our band opened for these guys back in the day. A cool little dive bar in Denver called The Broadway. Turned into a dance club. Don't know what it is now. 👽✌️

The lead singer looks like Layne Staley but with long hair.

Gruntruck actually toured together with AIC at the time this video was recorded. Layne Staley freaked out when he saw this guy was trying to impersonate him and asked for the rest of the tour to be cancelled. Read it on AIC’s biography.

TheArchDemon Well, Soundgarden and Skin Yard are brother bands, which leads into Gruntruck. The lead singer/rhythm guitarist and the drummer of Skin Yard formed Gruntruck in 1989. So, yeah, all three bands shared members and the Yard was a big influence on a lot of those Seattle bands.

That was only a piece of the 1960s, which ran through 1-1-1960 to 12-31-1969. The 1960s was definately the place to check out how music changed from Brenda Lee and Etta James to the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, supergroups, Jefferson Airplane, Woodstock, Smothers Brothers, Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66, man I could go on and on from there!

They really need to just cut the shit, and at least stream this show in its complete form. If you know that they were there, it just isn't as funny. It'll likely never happen though.
