I'm an AU fan who loves Bo Nix, but that is NOT the mentality of an NFL quarterback. He thinks the pressure is bad in the SEC? We all find joy in the game. The greats find joy in winning.

If he can’t handle the unhealthy obsession of college, wait till he’s in the league. There’s no transfer portal in the NFL. Either you can perform under the pressure, or you will find yourself out of the league real quick.

The difference between him and a player like Jaden Daniels is he ran from the gauntlet which is the SEC and Jaden Daniels ran into it That’s why he’s got the Heisman and he didn’t

Thinking that football matters more than anything else is the mistake. I’m from Florida and I’ve lived in Alabama and if you look at the plantation mentality perpetuated in the South and then look at the economic zones surrounding the “football towns” I think you’ll see all the evidence you need that football really doesn’t matter in quality of life for the vast majority of people that play and regularly watch it. Gladiatorial fixation has always preceded social collapse and if you look at the picture here in America, holistically, I think you’ll see unpleasant historical precedence.

Not a Bo nix fan,but his level of play went way up at Oregon. Of course those 2yatd shovel passes help your passing% go way up.

The SEC is 100% the most toxic conference, and the SEC likes it. And from there its a personal preference what you like and don't like. I personally hate all of this "I'm so much better than you" talk between conferences its just a load of crap

Bo couldn't handle the SEC which is why he left. It's not for everyone, obviously. All teams play to win so I don't see why he's crying about it except for the fact that he wasn't winning in the SEC

His best wins in college was when he was at Auburn. Won at home against Bama as a freshman and won against Oregon in Dallas. Was 2-1 against LSU and the loss was in Death Valley in a close game against Burrow. At Oregon he beat Utah twice.. I guess you can put beating USC in there too but that's about it
@jansonroberts2616

@@aaronbenandi2851let’s just be honest, he never could beat Georgia regardless of which color he wore or how far away he went to play. At the end of the day, putting my trash talking aside, he did what he wanted to do and I sincerely wish Bo all the best in all his endeavors on and off the field. Hopefully he’s happier with his decisions and what I or others say or think doesn’t matter a hill of beans to the young man.

@@aaronbenandi2851 Exactly. He played three years at Auburn and was SEC freshman of the year. He can handle the spotlight and the pressure.

He should've just said it was a business decision. With the atrocious Malzahn and Harsin O-line and receivers Bo wasn't good enough to carry a team. He actually had some pieces around him at Oregon and was able to thrive and show he's at the very least an NFL backup. He had no chance at being drafted at Auburn, and don't put all the blame on him. I don't know why he decided to take a crap on Auburn and the SEC..

You guys are misinterpreting Bo’s statement. He’s referring to the fans, not himself or the players. He was asked what the difference is and he explained what the difference is. He wasn’t asked what he liked or disliked. Football is life in the south. It’s all they have. It’s different! If you lose in Pac12 they say “We’ll get ‘em next time.” If you lose in the SEC you receive death threats and people want you gone. It’s DIFFERENT. Relax fellas.

It’s the condescension that is alarming. It’s dripping in your comment as well. To say that football is all folks in the South have is ignorant, phonic, and just plain stupid!

He's right, but his tone and way he said it made it sound like he was glad he moved on and would rather not continue to face as much criticism if he plays poorly. This could hurt his draft potential. NFL criticism and pressure will be much greater. This perspective is unbecoming of a successful pro.

You guys sound real hurt ngl. And saying that 18-22 year olds aren’t kids is insane. Nobody should be receiving death threats for not winning a game. And as for Auburn they are still trash, so Bo got the last laugh. The last winning season Auburn had was with Bo Nix as their QB. Auburn failed him, yall should be mad at them
