I love these videos so much. I dont have a bo staff and i dont live in a very big place where i would be able to get one, so usually i use a broom or a long sanded stick i found from a hike. I might buy a dowel but im still not sure. Thank you for giving us the knowledge and motivation 🙏

Great video! So Matt, which in your opinion is the best length for a staff? (for a 6' tall man) 72" ? 80" ? Cane length? The longest gives best reach but slower to move? Course I guess you can choke up and swing as fast? Best length as in you KNEW you were to face two thugs in an alley. Which length would your prefer and why?
@pasquinilli
@pasquinilli 5 жыл бұрын
I would go with Jo length and probably closer to 54" or 55" That gives you great leverage as a walking stick. It's not as uncommon to see someone walking with a stick that length - as you mentioned a cane. Plus it is less likely to get caught up because of length. I carried mine on hikes while sometimes expecting a possible altercation. Watch this : kzbin.info/www/bejne/ol66q2qdhNuCpNE

if you push the stick into someone's throught, there will be no need to do anything else, and if this will not help then i don't think striking his jaw will be possible, you don't know how the guy will react to the first strike. I think as the second strike would be useful to hit his legs to make him lose the balance then you can have more options, am i right or wrong? I wouls use the second strike as the first one and the first one as second if it's necessary. However thanks for this video, it gave me some more special ideas, it seems you read in my mind of what i need

Valdi mai the throat strike might just push him back a little and then you can add the chin strike. And yes you are right. There are no wrong moves in a fight. You have to do what works and that will always be different in any situation.

Hits and blocks to taught using a partner, easier to understand.

Yes! As soon as the covid is no longer being used as a reason to shut down business and movement, then I will get a partner to show the blocks and strikes. Thanks for that suggestion!
