The problem with the quickscoping in Blops 2 is that you can quickscope in the middle of getting shot by an assault rife and win the gunfight. IMO increasing flinch for the snipers would fix a lot of the problems because you'd actually have to be quicker than the other person to get the kill.

I am part of the quickscope/sniping community but I am alright with hard scoping because 1. It helps at longer ranges and 2. It can be good for the 1 shot headshots with the SVU so you can get the camos.

The auto-aim part is one component of Quickscoping but not the integral part. The main part is the fact that you are quickly scoping to fire one shot before the scope is in full view in order to prevent the hip fire spread and instead have the shot where you landed if you were actually aiming with the scope but at the same time. Not having to scope in for the same duration of time as hard scoping in order to achieve the same result.

Dragscoping is actually when u zoom in and ur shot isnt on the target so u make an adjustment to ur aim by "dragging" ur sight which depending on how quick u do it it can be considered a quickscope

It's call of duty, and quickscoping is more effective. The maps are smaller and means that 'hardscoping' is unnecessary and causes extra time. When you look down your sights, like a proper sniper, you are vulnerable as you are restricted to a scope at long range, and quickscoping allows you to participate in CQC.

People seem to forget you could shoot the L96, hit the reload button, then hit Y Y and shoot instantly, effectively doubling the fire rate if you practice enough.

You wouldn't need to use your sniper rifle, because you'd have an assault rifle or SMG. Sniper rifles are for calculated long distance shots. "...quickly aiming in the gun firing your shot and disarming an armed enemy soldier" is done with an AR or SMG in hand.

Really there are 4 Categories for sniping. There is of course the 3 you said. No-Scoping, Quick-Scoping, Hard-Scoping, and Drag-Scoping. Which is where you aim down sights and not being on the target you quickly drag the middle of the crosshair to the target and of course fire and kill the target.

i am learning how to snipe for 6 months now and build up enough experience and accuracy to say that even the best snipers out there have to hard scope at some point, so if anyone says that hard-scoping is just for noobs then he himself is a noob, and trickshotters aren't bad dude it's just a unique way to use the sniper rifles to me and i really enjoy watching them :)

The thermals on snow maps annoyed me, too, but it's actually somewhat realistic. Apparently, (I don't own a thermal imaging device) the snow simply reflects the thermal energy of the sun, making it appear hot to the thermal imager.

The bullets don't curve. That's lag compensation. If someone is laggy, they might be running around a corner on their screen, but the server didn't register that so they will get killed anyway. In the killcam, it will look like they got shot through the wall or the bullet curved around and hit them (Hitmarker shows up even though they are around a corner

Hard scoping is just how on a normal game you'd snipe, quick scoping is when you aim in, with a very high sensitivity and correct your shot in minimal time. It's a VERY broad term, interpreted differently by everyone

but the Assassin perk in MW3 was Op is countered the UAV, CUAV, AUAV, EMP, EMP Nade, Heartbeat sensor, Portable Radar, Thermal Scope, the Marksman Perk. On its own it wasn't too much of a problem but combined with Blind Eye and Dead Silence that was and OP combination

I think that snipers should be inconsistent like in Black Ops 1 BUT sniper rifles should have really fast switch times AND that the secondaries should have accelerated switch times when you're using a sniper rifle. That would make sniper rifles themselves obsolete in close quarters, but the sniper himself would be much deadlier.

Im torn on the quickscope/hardscope debate. Back in WaW and BO i was a more traditional sniper. But with BO2 i thought i would try quickscoping. I tend to have better scores when i hardscope, but i have more fun when i quickscope because im amazed that i can actually get kills

yah half a seconds not possible but you can aim to scope in and shoot as fast as possible or even just to shoot the target at the fastest most opportune moment. You don't have to QUICK SCOPE, but not twiddling your thumbs after scoping in would be preferable.

Thanks for the answer, and yea as for your prediction of the controls of an FPS for mobile devices it can be difficult to go with when you're playing an MFPS for the first time, but well it takes time, right now I am better at playing those games on the tablet. Smartphones would make it easy to play on, but tablets that takes a lot of time its pretty complicated.

Ok in my opinion, quickscopers are put to a disadvantage. Snipers are meant for long range, and they use them to rush. It's trying to use an smg at long range. Hardscoping is using a sniper to its advantages, so it's like using an smg at close range. Quickscoping is fine to me because people that quick scope will probably do better if they have a different weapon, or use the sniper how it's meant to be used. It's just putting themselves at a disadvantage for an extra challenge, just imo.
