agreed, not only people are unaware of the noise boost patch which make footsteps very viable in normal games, but I think another key element is that people are unaware is the other team can hear the players callouts e.g. reloading of which dead silence stops.

By far my favorite themes are Op 40 in BO1, Op 4 from MW2, Seals from BO2, Spetznaz from MW2, Black Ops from BO1, and NVA from black ops 1

Executioner is pretty good. I suck and it makes a handy backup for tossing a salvo of buckshot into a building.

A few tips for the Assault shield, just get a bunch of shock charges and concussion grenades, and you will do fine. The only big issue you will have with it is getting 25 kills with nothing else, no perks or tacticals. Even in Hardcore, this one took me the longest, all the rest were easy

awareness is good for search and destroy you can hear footsteps and when someone's planting or defusing

In new games I think that they should show more of the multiplayer, the campaign is more of a one time thing but the multiplayer is what really keeps the player coming back to the game.

People don't like Dead Silence? I've used that since CoD4. I guess that goes along with when Stu said something about how it's more useful against attentive players, because I can't tell you how many times in games I've been saved by hearing the footsteps of my opponents, be it Call of Duty, Battlefield, or Halo.

Advice for Executioner - get dual wield and than run around on Hijacked (or any other close quaters map) Free-For-All. Executioner is a great weapon, the power of being shoot out 10 pellets quickly gives it so much potential. You just need to use it on right maps and try to avoid any kind medium range fights.

Stu i have run the executioner solo and its a good gun. sure a few people rage but in the end i go positive. what i use is long barrel and either tac. knife or fast mags. perks are ghost, toughness; scavenger, extreme condition. perk 2 greed and 2 tactical. i use flash but it is whatever fills your needs.

i've fallen out of the gaming circuit due to unemployment in the US so my question is more of a reminiscent kind. it is in my opinion that MW2 was the best COD even with the few flaws it had i would go more into detail but with limited space i will just get to my 2 part question. 1st which was your most enjoyed game in the series & 2nd name your most out of ordinary & successful class you created that you used in it? my fav: thermal RPD with grip (bling obviously) stopping power & steady aim.

Here's a tip for getting that gold assault shield. Always go into free for all. This is because you cannot get double teamed as much and that restricts you from getting any kills. Hope this helped Stewart(

Dead silence is not just usable, but in competitive Search and Destroy, it is important. Everyone, including me, has a headset in the higher divisions. When there is no background noise, footsteps are easy to hear. I always run dead silence-awareness in S&D, and I hear the noobs "stomping around." Usually easy kills.

To get the Shield gold, I advise hardcore mode. The hit registration for both bashing and blocking bullets is so poor in BO2 that I find it impossible to smash people twice. I got it diamond in about four hours.
