Yes if they are on the same freq. I'm not sure about cloning, if that's your question? Maybe someone else could chime in on that....

Basically, its a POS. there is no way to unlock it and it has limited features. I bought one and it sits on the shelf with the rest of the HT's I have. Unless Baofeng comes out with a DMR/Fusion HT at this price I am tapping out...

I expect limited features in a $32 radio. I'm also not surprised when it's a dirty radio. I don't care personally whether it can be unlocked or not. I can't even buy a stock battery at this price for one of my Icoms. Granted, if this radio was $100...i would pass. I'm sold at this price point. That's just me. Thanks for watching!

@@higginsreport that’s funny because I bought the 5RM for 12 dollars new from aliexpress and it’s unlocked and transmits at 10 watts plus rx air band, so not really an excuse or answer for the 17R being such a piece of garbage. I will take the blame for buying it as most KZbinrs seem to get a free one to review.

@@cornbread-KO5RN not that I have found…I have so many HT from China for family and friends when we go out into places with no cell service. It just sucks when one HT is unlocked and the next one that’s basically the same cannot be.
