Donek made ordering my board easy. I told Sean my stats and riding ability and that I wanted a Knapton twin, and he came back with the recommended length and sidecut radius. I just had to come up with the waist width and pick the graphics. The board is simply amazing, fast, stiff, damp, the way it leaps out of turns is addictive. I only wonder what a longer radius would be like, and I could use a few more cm of waist width. I'm thinking about an Aloha with more aggressive specs next...

I'm off the topic but...I love Donek boards and have three Knapton Twin and love the performance. Here is what i think Donek needs to improve. The top of the boards gets easily marked by boots when you get off the chairlift and put your unbuckled boot on the board and the marks are hard and close to impossible to remove. Not sure if the glossy finish would make a difference, but whatever top finish Donek uses it doesn't help to keep the look of the board.

My Turner FC arrived 2 days after the mountains shut down, can't wait to rip on it. East Coast so I went short (170cm), narrow (19cm waist), and a very short SCR (10.5) so it'll rip on narrow trails. Worse comes to worst, I might just have to get another that is longer, faster, and damper if I end up spending more time in wide open resorts. The horror.
