Have you tried the original War of the Ring? It's, by far, my most favourite LOTR board game. I'm not even a big fan of dudes on a map style games, but that one just hits all the right spots for me.

That harry potter game is amazing to play with preteens, easy to understand but with some nice depth. Really enjoyed it with my kids, great gateway if they are already HP fans

Be sure to try the team variant of Dune Imperium: Uprising. I’m not normally a fan of coop games but I LOVED that variant. It was so good and really surprised me.

Still great collection, we don't have many common additions but Nemesis is alone to make us firends, right? Ohh and spot on with the Lotr versus HP debate...there's no doubt on that one. ;) Can't wait for Terrorscape to come so I can play it 5 times before you do. xD

As someone who has never read a single word of Harry Potter, and nor seen the movies, but has read ten Tolkien books in the past two years, I can confidently state with total accuracy that The Lord of the Rings IS infinitely better than Harry Potter, in part because if that were not true, I'd have spent the last two years reading Harry Potter and not Tolkien, am I right?!

Or, look at the bright side: you'll get some money back and will have plenty of space on your shelves ;-) At the beginning of the year I confirmed only 1 challenge: play all the scenarios of Zombicide SE including the rulebook and ~40 that I downloaded from the net. In total ~100 scenarios (some of them are for expansions so will skip), played already 47 scenarios out of 70 plays in total. So hard to continue :D But, never give it up!
