It's so hard to teach. I've had a handful of friends try wakeboarding for the first time and only 1 has been able to get it. This is definitely gunna help me get them up.

Excellent tutorial for teaching. Wondering what to say regarding when to apply tension in the legs and arms. Thoughts?

I have been teaching skiing for 52 years.. and this guy is by far one of the best at giving simple explanations. One of his best lines is that the knee bend is the 'safety valve'. This holds true for most skiing efforts, whether beginner or advanced.. in skiing and wake boarding! His other great line is for the both the student and the teacher to be patient - patient with the pull up, patient with not standing up too soon, and of course the teacher being patient with the student. Great video!

THANK YOU for making this video and posting it! At Lake Chelan and my husband has been wakeboarding for years and taught our 2 teen girls in a day. However, I was a lost cause - just kept plowing water. Watched your video a couple of times and it clicked. Now I "pop up like a cork" as my husband says. Appreciate the great tips!
