I’ve started copying his form when jumping and I can feel myself getting closer every time I jump. I’ve been able to clear the wake for years now but I used to have to try to do it. I’d be cutting too hard and trying to pop to much and it just wasn’t working. I started trying to look like him and now I clear it with ease. Body position makes such a huge difference it’s not even fully

@@jefffedorvich9423 I hear that man. Ive only had about 4 sessions under my belt but i think im progressing pretty good. Like you said I think im trying too hard to pop off the wake. Im excited for my next ride because this video really resonated with me. the trampoline analogy and stacking your bones really hit home. I have good feelings about my next ride!
@jefffedorvich94234 жыл бұрын
Matt I don’t know if it’s just me but I struggled with getting pop for a while. I watched the few videos he has about unloading and stacking bones and they really helped. Ones I got the wake to wake down without squatting it made it a million times easier to add the squatting in. Also maybe it’s just me but I noticed pushing off the wake is more of like a Ollie motion than it is standing straight up. I don’t know that’s just what it feels like to me. I think a lot of the pop comes from the back leg. At least on heel side

It really makes the sport a lot more accessible for those of us who don't have access to good teachers. Thank's for the advice. 😊 One question, I practice on cable and hit rails and kickers. When it comes to have a great cut you body position looks perfect to me, but when it's comes to hit an obstacle on kicker or rail and send a trick it don't look good for me, should I train your way or, hit an obstacle on park is slightly different the hit the wake? Thank for sharing! ✌️🤘
@Shaun.Murray Жыл бұрын
The physics of riding boat and cable are very similar but when you hit the wake vs a kicker, things are quite different. When you hit the wake you should be on a good edge at the bottom of the wake, and then releasing the edge at the top of the wake. On a kicker, you edge to the kicker but have to get off your edge when you're actually on it.

Shaun! I've watched every one of these "going back to basics" videos. The hardest thing for me is "slowing it down" when I'm out riding. I have to talk myself through the basics as I'm doing them. "OK cut out....lean against the rope.....release...wait for the boat....load....body stacked...and hit the wake" Almost every time I do this, I know I'm doing it correctly because I get get booted up and freak out and let go! hahaha Not "Murray" booted, but ya know it feels like I'm 20 feet high. What is the best way to record audio with BBtalkin?
@Shaun.Murray4 жыл бұрын
Few different ways and all are pretty easy. For these videos we are using the 3mm jack on the side of the camera and just connect the Bb Talkin unit w a wire to that port. You can download the app Bb Cam and that allows you to record right into your phone. And I've used the Garmin action cam which connects the Bb unit straight into the camera.
