Boarding the Norwegian Breakaway - Surprise Early Boarding & Mini-Ship Tour

Cruise day is finally here! We contacted NCL and were invited to attend a media event since this was the first cruise ever of the Breakaway from New Orleans and this is the biggest ship ever to sail from this port! We arrived early and were allowed to board the ship before it was even cleared to explore on our own until the media event began. Come along!

Since you liked the NCL Breakaway, you are going to love the Bliss. The chandelier is gorgeous and the observation room is huge. You can also get a light breakfast in the observation room and the bar is gorgeous. The whole ship is beautiful from what I saw when I went on the ship tour. The food was really good in the Manhattan room. Also the go karts look like a lot of fun. My manager and our owner from our travel agency went on the travel agents cruise for two nights and had a blast on the go karts. Loved the comparison between Carnival and NCL also.

FYI at 14:52 that glass which is tempered is broken..But the reason why it is not dangerous is because there are multiple layers of that glass so only the top layer is broken so you have no danger of falling through but I don’t think you realize that because you didn’t say anything, I do glass for a living so that’s why I picked it up

You mean you are not on a cruise be able to watch videos :) Yes, that was pretty sweet to score an invite to the media event. We were walking on the ship with huge smiles on our faces when everyone else was getting off and sad.

Jason, you mentioned the open Lido area was not as wide open. I felt it was better than my RCCL Oasis Cruise, where there was no connection to the sea. We sailed NCL Getaway which was almost the exact same blueprint as the Breakaway, except on the Getaway there was no Martini bar, but a Mojito Bar.

Pretty sure I've never seen a cruise vlog where someone was more excited than you! lol -- we cruised on the Getaway a couple years ago & are going on the Breakaway in a few weeks. Counting down the days! Did you park at the port? That's the only thing we have yet to decide on.

I did get really excited getting on this ship!! We parked with Machu Picchu. They are a little bit away from port but shuttled us back and forth and were so nice. You can book online.
