I surf only Lib Tech since 7 years (Bowl, Vert and Air e Ola). Before I surfed firewire and other brands and always 6´3 or bigger. The Lib Tech bowl series I surf is 5´8 and I catch more waves then before. My 6´4 vert series is for bigger waves (I surf most of the time in Indo). I´m really thinking about the Quiver Killer but one thing I miss on this shape...the concave!! It´s on all old Lib Tech boards and I like it.

Just ordered this in a 5'6 w/ 2 day shipping. Pysch levels are high rn. Coming from an eps epoxy board. Ready to see how much more durable these boards are. Heard nothing but good things 🤙

Hey I'm thinking of ordering the 5'6". Just wondering what your height and weight is and if you are liking the sizing so far?

Appreciate it. Wonder what is meant with “it can sit with a groveler while liking good waves”. Probably that it is a good 2 board quiver together with a groveler?!

Looking at this board, I’m 6”1 65kgs, low level intermediate looking for something that works for turns whilst keeping paddle power. Any recommendations of a good board size for me?

I would recommend a 5'10 stock because your a tall dude but your relatively light so a 5'10 I think would be good because there's a little more volume for someone of your weight so it's easier to paddle than a smaller one since your a low-level intermediate you can get into waves a little earlier and not have to take off under the hood and what type of waves are you surfing?

@BASTIAN MUNOZ MARDONES probably too late but I think you should get a 5’6” but if your surfing 6-9ft waves go with a different board, this is for 3-7 ft

Ive heard so many bad things about lib tech as far as durability on the forums that Ive been hesitant. Do you think they are finally tightening up there program over there? This would be my perfect next board for traveling (Im getting a quiver killer no matter what) but not sure about the delaminating/durability issues in the lib tech construction. Also does this float better than PU? Like the 37 liter version would float more like a 40 liter board? Flat out lib tech version vs carbon rap version ?

I have a puddle jumper, had it for 2 years. No issues, none, zero dings, very strong. I've dropped it, hit it on things that would've definitely damaged any other board, I'll definitely be getting a quiver killer as my next travel board. You're bang on about the volume, after contacting lib tech direct. I was unsure which size to go for, decided on 5'7" pj as lib tech stated the tech effectively gives you 2-3 litres more than listed (for example my 32l became 34/35l).

I have a Ringer and it's fantastic. I've seen a lot of those complaints too, and while I won't completely write them off, I do wonder what some of those people consider "normal" treatment. I've had mine about a year and a half and it gets surfed at least twice a week if not more. It's taken a few shots over rocks and a few stupidity bumps from me against the odd wall or ground and is totally fine. If you buy it and treat it like shit because you believe the marketing hype, or you're a super aggro surfer doing huge drops off the lip, airs or whatever, then yeah I guess I could see it not holding up, but then how would any other board do under the same situation? I treat it like a normal board as much as possible and don't abuse it and I think it is much better than a PU board. One thing I absolutely love about it is it's energy absorption. That kind of "chatter" you get on PU or Epoxy boards, over bumpy sections, practically non existent in the Lib Tech....tech...lol. You notice it when you first paddle out and when waves hit the board it doesn't have that hollow sound like water hitting a boat hull. That chatter. It's a bit strange at first. I'm intermediate so I won't claim anything about the flex or responsiveness of the board compared to PU. I suppose that's true, but I'm not good enough to notice it. One thing that's a tiny bit irritating is that sometimes wax will flake off the surface of the deck due to whatever material it is. It's not a big deal and doesn't seem to happen in any chunks big enough to matter but it still happens nonetheless.

@@harveylegend I don't see how a Lib Tech can "effectively give you 2-3 liters more than listed" when they weigh significantly more than a poly or EPS board of the same volume.

How does this compare to the V3 Rocket? Specifically the rocker profile? I’m wondering if at 6’4” 210 lbs, the 6’2” quiver killer would be way too small for me.... I’ve been riding a 6’1” V3 Rocket (36.3L) and V2 Rocket (33L) but am looking to get a slightly more performance geared (and hopefully indestructible) board. I know the reason I’ve been able to go so small on the rockets is the low rocker profile but haven’t had a performance board in awhile so not really sure if a change in rocker would give need for more foam. Looking at the 6’4” as well but 40L just seems like so much foam compared to what I’ve been riding....

5' 10" should work great, good volume to weight ratio to get you "in". 5' 8" if your height was a few inches shorter, unless you are a freakishly good surfer who hits the sweet spot of their board 98% of the time.
