You can't go wrong with the side saddle pattern. One of my favorites. I like the fact that there are 4 dc instead of the traditional 3. Great idea! Thanks for including how to do the last row, Sarah. 💙

Hi Sarah- I came back to re-view the pattern..Its 3D!! I just realized it & once again you make the pattern so easy to follow.. I fell in love way back on your first Market Bag CAL & get so many compliments on my bag- I appreciate your artistry & your time. I finally found 10 skeins of the BoardWalk color! . TY so much- I can't wait to do this & then follow up with the "Around the Bend" throw, I won't even mind the cold ! :) Hugs, Donna

Thank you for sharing. Wonderful pattern, and love that yarn. Saw it at Michael's and now will need to get a few skeins. Make up some small afghan throws for the autos, like to keep a blanket in the autos, never know when they may be needed.
I love this pattern 😊. I've made a cpl scarves and hooded scarves using. Turns out really nice. Tyfs God bless you

I have a blanket I made with a pattern very similar to this. We call it the shell stitch, 3 DC in 1 stitch, then skip a stitch. I love these colors! I did a blanket in tan and cream for my dad for Father's Day, and extended the pattern, because he's over 6' tall, and never has blankets long enough to cover him when he's chilly. He loves keeping this handy in his living room! ❤

OMGoodness- I don't know which I love more- the pattern or the yarn! This looks so beautifful & the colors are mine..Could this pattern also be done in a Shawl or shawl with pockets design? I'm picking up the pattern on Etsy. You are so awesome to share your designs & tutorials with us.

Beautiful blanket, but it's like your doing ribbing for the top and bottom edges, isn't it going to pull the edges in instead of the blanket laying flat like a complete even rectangle?

I am wondering, is there a weight of chainette yarn that would work for this? If so, could someone suggest a brand for me to look at? Would be very appreciated.

She just made a sample. She said you can chain 186 or any multiple of 4 + 2 to get your desired width for your starting chain and you can add more rows to get your desired length.

This is one of my favorite stitches. The only difference was that I put 3 DC Stitches instead of 4 only because that was what was called for when I learned. Either it looks great. This was called The Ocean Stitch, but like many other stitches, it is called various names.

Snap! One of my faves too and I also learned with 3dc. (I'm an aussie so we call dc, trebles. ) 😊
