Hey, great step by step set up video. What order and step by step do you pack away and what do you use to transport everything if the water is further away from where you park your car? Do you use a garden trolley or a type of wheeled cart?
@JChanTV_youtube3 жыл бұрын
i used to just park near the launch site so as to minimize the amount of distance I have to lunge the boat. But i recently got a trolley from costco for further waterlines

Hi! Very interesting video.....but I was wondering what did you use to mount the transducer of your fish finder. I didn't notice any surface for a mount, beside the rack for the motor in the back.

@@JChanTV_youtube Thanks for the reply. Went to see your battery video and was super interesting. The only thing I was curious about was about the location of your fish finder transducer. Did you place it under the boat with a suction cup, or behind the mount for the motor? I have a Garmin Striker 4 Portable so the battey mount is not really an issue for me. :)

Is the sharp hook dangerous for inflatable boat? it can easily stuck into the boat and make a hole if you are not very careful.
@JChanTV_youtube Жыл бұрын
Yes that could definitely be an issue. There are different types of inflatable, some are stronger against punctures and others are not. Considering their price point, you would get a sense of their robustness. The Intex in this video is not very robust in this aspect

Nice. Like the fact that you show the results of all your DIY work too - the fish which I don't see in other videos I looked at. I am curious. How much does your floor weigh? I was thinking of making a floor out of 3/4 thk plywood for an Excusrion4 I am planning to buy but it looks like it might end up being about 35 lbs. Did you use some other material that is lighter.?
@JChanTV_youtube3 жыл бұрын
thanks for your comment, I should probably do a follow up clip that details the materials used :)
@joseuthuppan19443 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you would have time to create another video. If you have a kitchen scale or something, perhaps we can get an idea how much the 3 pieces weigh. The way you were handling it, looked pretty light to me.
@JChanTV_youtube3 жыл бұрын
@@joseuthuppan1944 it is plywood, i got the thinnest one. The floor is not the heaviest part of the boat, the battery and the motor are.

Thanks for posting this video...just purchased an excursion 4 for personal fishing use and I plan on doing something similar. How much plywood did you use? A 4x8 ft sheet of 1/4 inch? I figured the thinner, the better for weight purposes. Where'd you get the carpeting that you stapled onto the plywood? I know the raft is about 10 ft long, but wasn't sure if a 4 ft wide sheet of plywood would be sufficient for covering the width. Any info on materials appreciated!
@JChanTV_youtube2 жыл бұрын
All materials for the board were bought from home depot. The length measurement of the interior when inflated will determine the length of the board. I went with a thinner plywood as well for the weight.
