Dear Elayna and Riley my name is Marconi, I’ve been watching your videos for over two years and I absolutely love your lifestyle, in fact, I’ve already decided that in the future I want to live in a sailboat just like you. I live in México and next year I’m graduating and hopefully going to a college in Holland to study mechatronic engineering but I’ve always been one of those wild souls and before I go to college and everything it would really mean the world to me to have the chance to go on an adventure with the people that have inspired me the most. :)

I am 76, soon to be 77 and I know I am not a good candidate for this adventure you are offering, but having sailed on a catamaran in Greece last year, and in the BVI a few years before that, I have discovered that I have never been happier than aboard a catamaran. That being said, I just want you to know that I have adopted the three of you as family. As a couple I love and enjoy you, but then along cane Lenny... what a joy! I have so enjoyed watching him grow and experiencing the 3 of you become such a fun and loving family. Know that I feel privileged to join you on your adventures and can’t wait to join you via KZbin on your future travels.

As a former U.S. Navy Sailor I believe I can add considerable value as a temporary S/V La Vagabonde crew member. For example, as a qualified Missile System Supervisor I can measurably improve La Vagabonde's air defense posture. Additionally, as Fire Controlman (a type of electronics technician) I am skilled at taking apart all of your electronics and machinery for no good reason other than some paper says to do that periodically. If you need someone to sweep water off the deck with a broom while it's still raining - well a Navy Sailor is who to call. Need someone to run damage control drills every day at the most inconvenient time? I'm your man. As a former Visit, Board, Search & Seizure (VBSS) team member, I can conduct armed boardings of neighboring boats on your behalf, to search for contraband or to simply scare the crap out of them. Need someone to shine anything that isn't painted or to paint anything you don't want to shine? Any Navy Sailor is an expert in busy work of that sort. Finally, as a qualified Combat Systems Training Team member I can insert random faults into your equipment to test your ability to respond and correct the casualty. Alternatively, we can run a tactical drill where we pretend a neighboring boat is a combatant from hostile country Orange, and test to ensure your crew successfully engages the threat while not harming a nearby hovering CNN helicopter.

Dear Elena, Riley, Lenny and almighty Patreon supporters, As a student and waitress in Gouda, the Netherlands (yes, the cheese city!!), COVID-19 has quite literally turned my world upside down. After not going on any holiday for over 5 years due to saving up for uni every summer, my lovely boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to some fun activities during the upcoming summer. Unfortunately, but necessary of course, these have all been cancelled. Refunds are currently not available, so we decided to take our losses and just make the best of our summer by enjoying the little things. One of these things has DEFINITELY been watching your videos every week in bed with a big cuppa and snacks! The chance to visit with you in the Azores would be a one in a lifetime trip, and I can’t imagine how fun it would be to chat philosophy with Riley, cook with Eleyna, and eat pasta of the floor with Lenny. Fingers crossed!! Good luck to all other Patreons participating, and thank you for this opportunity! Lots of hugs! (once it’s allowed, of course)

Hi Elayna, Riley and Lenny! Our names are Sabrina and Justin. We are two high school sweethearts who have been watching you guys for years and we’re inspired to travel as much as we can because of you all. You guys are who we watch before bed every time you post. I am an Early Childhood Education major and would love to meet Lenny! We love you guys and would love to get a chance to explore the Azores with you. We love the way you all embrace and Immerse yourselves to culture and nature and want to be apart of it! P.S. Justin was supposed to graduate college this year and due to Covid-19 he didn’t get to walk at his graduation and I graduate next year so this would be such an amazing graduation present! -Sending Sunshine, Sabrina and Justin

HERE'S A TIP: I fly drones professionally. When we need to catch a drone in a moving object (typically a car) we put up a net, just about 2x2m in size, angle the net, picture like the back of a soccer goal, slanted at 45 degrees or so. You are safe to fly the drone right into the net, the net will catch the drone without doing any harm. **every once in a while, a prop will get scraped up, but it is much cheaper to replace the $10 prop as opposed to a whole new drone**

I don't deserve this treat any more than the rest of the bunch, but perhaps... if I'm lucky... I've been following you guys for 4-5 years and had become a patreon on the Atlantic crossing. Though I never sailed in my life, your free-spirited lifestyle and your love for the seas have been hugely inspirational for me, here in my small urban flat in Tel Aviv, and it'd be awesome to be your deck boy for a week. Freediving, Downing Coronas, and discussing our beloved DFW with Riley, cooking with Elayna, babysitting Lenny and hear him growl - would be absolutely amazing. And in the Azores too! Anyway, cheers. Love you guys ❤️

I still remember becoming a patreon 2 years ago, because it was right after I had been in an accident. Sworn to change my life, leaving the industrial world and living an alternative lifestyle that suits me, I wanted to surround myself with people who were already living such life (even if just through KZbin). While I am still working my way through some mental blocks related to the accident, watching la vagabond has always kept up my hopes, showing me why I am doing all the work on myself currently. I would not deserve it anymore than any of the other patrons, this I am convinced of. And still it would mean the world to me, meeting the two people in person who are inspiring me that there is a different lifestyle possible and that I will achieve to create it for myself.

To be able to meet and squeeze the LEGEND known as Lenny would be amazing, to say the least! He must be the happiest toddler I've ever seen, which is a byproduct of his great parents! My husband grew up sailing the Long Island Sound, was the sailing coach at the University of New Hampshire when we met (33 years ago!) but hasn't owned a sailboat since. We love living vicariously through you guys and so appreciate the joy and laughter you bring to us and everyone who watches! After he beat cancer a couple of years ago, it's been his dream to sail again and the Azores would be the perfect place to start! Cheers to you and to whoever is the lucky winner! :)

I was going to write some hilariously weird story to make Riley laugh... but thought I'd be a bit more genuine (and myself), so here goes: My husband is 32 years old and has suffered from narcolepsy his entire life. He grew up with a family who thought he was 'faking' and never got him care. So 4 years ago I stole him away and found him a neurologist and he was able to get care for the first time - and the transformation is something that would break your heart in the most WONDERFUL way. We got married last September (2019) and were supposed to go on our honeymoon to the Azores(!!!!!!!) in April. Alas - corona. But I thought it would be the most exciting thing for him to see the world and get to adventure for the first time in his life, now that he's able. He and I are 100% going when the ban is lifted, but how cool if we got to meet you three while we're at it. A bit of a major kickoff to his adventure, eh? Good luck everyone. ♥

I have been a La Vagabonde Patreon since your first year. You inspired me to follow my dreams. I joined a Meet-up group, learned to sail, studied all things sailing, bought a Lord Nelson 35 sailboat and have spent the last couple of years getting her ready to move onto. Unfortunately, as I was inexperienced (and a bit OCD), I decided on a much more extensive retrofit than was probably necessary. A few pinhole sized blisters lead to a complete bottom job, an oil leak to a motor rebuild, a foul smelling bilge to pulling all tanks to clean and paint bilge. All while continuing to work and sail whenever possible. I’ve accomplished much, but still have a long way to go. Your weekly videos kept me going when the going got rough, keeping my dream alive. When Covid hit and my income all but disappeared I cut everything but my Patreon subscription. It was the one thing I couldn’t do without. One day I hope to cross wakes in a quiet anchorage and invite you aboard. Until then, it would be an honor to meet and sail with you.

I have a bit of a confession.... after watching your videos for 5 years now, I have only just found the loose change in my pocket and decided to become a patreon last week. Due to this, I find it only fair to volunteer as your new deckhand as repayment and will bring along my trusty right hand lady to assist. As a social worker and animator with a passion for the sea and climbing, our skills include - washing up, sweeping up, tidying up, Child management and Rope management. How can we be of assistance... I honestly started writing this as soon as I finished last weeks video. I’m 19 and I began watching Sailing La Vagabonde on KZbin around 3 years ago. I’m the youngest in my family, with the closest of my siblings being 4 years older than me. Meaning all of my siblings were out of the house when I began High School (huge part of anyone’s life). When I found the channel I was a Junior and I felt like Elayna was an older sister to me and the videos helped me get through a lot of major milestones in my life. These two have honestly became my biggest role models by not only showing that you don’t have to live in the societal box you’re placed in as an adult but instead you can seek a different lifestyle and find adventure. They also taught me that it takes a lot of hard work to achieve your goals but the end result is incredible. I live in a small town in Indiana and I’ve never left the U.S and yet because of these two, I feel called to explore. I’m hoping to one day meet the people who have inspired me to find what truly makes me happy and chase after it because if it weren’t for them, I don’t know where I’d be. *Please make my dream come true, I’ve been needing a little life guidance rn* Thank you.

Hi everyone, I’m Rachel, a 19 year old Patron from Michigan. I'm sure I'm not alone here when I say I've always wanted to travel. Unfortunately, whenever the opportunity has arisen something comes up. For example, my family saved for years for a trip to Greece. Right before our trip, my father had a seizure. The next day he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a rare form of terminal brain cancer. I haven’t traveled because I was afraid to leave my family. SLV has helped me the last two years, and it would mean the world to see the ocean.

You guys have kept me inspired to continue going after my goals, no matter how out of the norm they are. I would love to learn free diving & spear fishing from you guys. I hope to use my biology degree to do scientific diving to do research on reefs & other ecosystems. SLV have had a genuine impact on my life because while often KZbinrs seek to feed their egos, this duo (and now trio!) explore the world while living one of the most sustainable lifestyles I’ve ever witnessed. They’ve also created a template on how people could live their lives to the fullest if they only had the courage to do so! They’ve been a humongous inspiration to me and my wife during an extremely rough few years of life - while I fought cancer and she immigrated to NYC be with me. It seemed like one thing after another was holding us back from starting our own lives. Starting mornings with SLV and coffee quickly became our favorite ritual. We have so many amazing plans to see Europe as soon as the Pandemic ends. My wife Clare is from Ireland but I haven’t had the chance to leave the United States yet - it would be incredible to start this next chapter by first thanking the people that motivated us to make these plans and climbing aboard the Vagabond!!

Almost everyone in the comments is saying "id love the opportunity, but everyone else here should get it too". A selfless and compassionate group that I'm proud to be privy to in this crazy world we live in. I'll follow suit and say, I've only been a Patron for a short time, but following the journey for years, and even though this is me throwing my hat in the ring, there are so many others that deserve this more than myself. Close your eyes. Imagine standing on the bow of a boat. Dive off, into the crystal clear water. As you glide through the blue, just before you spread your arms to pull yourself back up towards the surface, you pause. In this brief moment of pure bliss, as you are suspended weightless in the water, all the stress of the world, especially the past few months, is a distant memory.

I began following you upon my retirement Jan 1, 2016. You guys are addicting. I also began following a youngster named Greta in the fall of 2018. Fascinating child with a very important message. Upon the cancellation of COP25 in Chile and Greta's public request for a ride across the Atlantic, I sent you guys a twitter request as a Hail Mary. While you found a different connection, I was incredibly excited when you announced that you'd be taking on the task. At that point, I became a Patreon, and followed your posts and Nikkis daily. You'll be getting a footnote in the history books for that effort, and I can pretend I was a part of the family! Keep up the great work! Stay safe!

Dear LaVagabond and fans- We are Matt Pretty and Amelia Dolsen. Since stumbling across your channel these last couple of months, we have watched practically every video and become completely entranced by your journey, your free spirit personalities and your message to never stop exploring. Something about sailing just sparks a fire in us and watching your videos makes that spark feel so bright and beautiful. Amelia has grown up around sailing, and recently introduced Matt to sailing in the last 5 years and he’s fallen in love with it just like she has. We are currently saving up to purchase a boat of our own next year in hopes of one day embarking on a journey like yours. Living in the heart of the Great Lakes in Canada, we have dreamed of sailing on an ocean. We would LOVE to meet you and it would be a dream come true to come sail with you. We love that you are able to engage with your fans through Patreon. Hoping everyone is safe and healthy, Matt Pretty (Patron member) and Amelia

I love being free on the water, hopping in every once in a while and having incredible people around me. I don’t think anyone deserves this trip more or less than the next person. I want to throw my hat in the mix because the life that Riley and Elayna have created inspire me to live more intentionally and follow my passions. I find myself relating so closely to the video of Elayna sharing her fear and anxiety and I want to fight again my own fears by putting myself out there. I would love to be considered to join the crew, but I’m also just as happy to be brave enough to try. Keep on keeping on!

Since becoming a patron in Jan 2019, I’ve experienced more ‘first times’ in the last year than I had for a very long time. Finally got over my fear of the open ocean thanks to you guys, and I’m hooked on being in the water now! My boyfriend and I are obsessed with spearfishing (although it’s not too exciting here in West Wales), and I’m much more up for an adventure than I used to be. Watching the way you guys navigate your lives has taught me that it’s okay to want a life that differs from the societal norm. This week, my job role officially became fully ‘remote’ regardless of when the pandemic calms down - so I’m hoping to start my own adventure very soon. I have a hell of a lot to thank you guys for, and I’d love to say it in person with some rum! Hope everyone’s safe and well - Cheers, you bloody legends! ☀️

Like most here, I cant presume to speak to how much I deserve to go or not, but I can try to tell you how much it would mean to me: I was lucky enough to find your videos as I was recovering from a broken spine (and broken heart) a few years ago after an ill-fated trip to Margaret River, WA. I was drawn in by the beautiful vistas & the novelty of a life on the water, but I found so much more than that: two authentic, determined, and kind people behind it all, their wonderful love story full of music and adventure, and of course, the amazing community of people they have created. It’s been an absolute joy to be allowed to be a fly-on-the-wall over the past few years. Getting to follow your journey as you made your way around the world, became parents, and handled everything with so much grace, has been an amazing thing to experience, and it’s so generous of you to let us all in and share it with us. Watching your videos has brought me so much calm and joy during a really challenging time. They have reminded me that instead of fear and stress, you can choose curiosity and simple pleasures. Instead of routine you can choose adventure. Instead of what everyone thinks you should do, you can follow your heart. Most of all, you reminded me that to be happy, all you really need is hard work, good tunes, good food, good company, love…and a little wind :) So anyway thank you! Good luck to everyone here. Fair winds and following seas to your little family on the ocean x

Just a girl in Sweden loving the content you SLV are making. Reading through the comments Im amazed by how many wonderful, giving and warm people is out there enjoying the same thing as I and lifting eachother. Never really felt I truley fit in like in a bigger context, even though I love my friends and family, I feel maybe now I have found my people. You know?

"Do not go gentle into that good night....rage, rage against the dying of the light..." is one of my favorite poems. I think of it often to remind me that life is short, that we should not squander time, or let pass an opportunity such as this! If by chance I am picked, I would not let fear of the unknown keep me from embarking on such an adventure, because to be able to experience the joy and freedom of the open seas and test my sea worthiness in such an exotic location would be a dream come true.

Look I haven’t been apart of your journey as long as some people here, but the love I’ve developed for sailing because of you guys is something I’ve never experienced before. If you look on my channel, you’ll see how I quickly became obsessed with sailing, bought a sail boat for $600, and sunk it three days later…I learnt a lot from my mistake, but I feel like learning from you two about the pure bliss of sailing would, for one, be better than sinking a boat every time I had a slip up. But it would also set in stone my dreams of sailing, and from there, begins my own journey as a 19 year old aboriginal sailor from Australia!

I don't have a particularly compelling argument as to why I deserve a win, other than I love to travel, experience new things and meet people. I mean honestly I have never won anything in my life so the odds are not in my favor... BUT you guys have shown us that you got a take a chance so your dreams can come true! I started watching about 3 years ago when my boyfriend introduced me to the show. I quickly became a huge fan (but who doesn’t). I love the dynamic between y’all, and the love you have for your patrons. This has gotten me through some tough times, like my boyfriends deployment, that I will forever be thankful for. If you’re ever in the Savannah, Georgia area, let me know as I live on the coast just South of Savannah. Would love for y’all to experience this. Hopefully we can discuss that on the trip in Azores! Best wishes and hope y’all are staying safe during COVID-19. Thanks for giving us something to look forward to during this pandemic.

Hi Elayna, Riley, and Lenny! I'm so excited to finally have the financial ability to join the Patreon crew after 4 years of following your journey. I began watching your videos when I was in college, and they inspired me to follow the things that I'm passionate about rather than the things that I felt pressured by family and peers to pursue, which led me to a career in photography and videography. I'm currently working a full-time job and also freelancing on the side to save money and sharpen my skills. My goal is to save enough money to travel and document my experiences, similar to the path you've taken. I would love the opportunity to join you in the Azores so that I can meet 2 of my role models, help look after sweet Lenny, and create photos and videos of the experience! It's a dream of mine to learn to sail, and perhaps I can put my SLV Sailing Guide knowledge to the test if you'll have me aboard! :) Thank you for allowing us all a glimpse into your world -- it surely changed mine!

I tried living on a boat but the first attempts were troubled, the dream didn’t work out, but I won’t stop dreaming. Joining you in the Azores would be an occasion to meet, to learn from, and be inspired by the masters who make it look so easy, so beautiful. We had a blast with you guys last October in Annapolis, but this is a once in a lifetime dream opportunity! It would be an amazing chance to get some experience sailing a performance cruising cat since we hope to see one in our future as well. We also hope to be able to talk about sailing, cruising, electric engines (we converted a diesel sailboat to fully electric), spearfishing, baby stuff, AI, philosophy, Star Wars, minimalism, going green, etc with you LEGENDS. Also, we're just dying to see Lenny again. That's it for us. Good luck to the other Patrons! Regards, Jordan and Randi

I'm a newer Patreon, but still hoping for a chance to join you on this trip of a lifetime! I started following less than a year ago and recently became a Patreon because I finally had to financial means to help support your videos! Being from the city of Toronto in Canada, there aren’t many opportunities to jump on a boat and sail but watching your videos has inspired both my boyfriend and I to look at life in a more free spirited way whether that’s doing different things in our own city or having a different outlook on how we plan our holidays. You both are truly an inspiration to us and we would love the chance to join you in the Azores! Hope you guys and Lenny are staying safe

Picture it: finals week of vet school 2018. I binge watched every episode of La Vagabonde. Here I am today in my 3rd year of vet school still watching the weekly videos! Since then, I’ve become a divemaster and have dabbled in free diving thanks to your guys’ inspiration! I’m sure any of the people caring enough to comment would be an amazing addition to your legendary Azores trip. Going to school on a Caribbean island has really made me appreciate living by the land and the weather that surrounds it; honestly, it’s what I appreciate most about this channel. Elayna and Riley, you two seem to be some of the most down to earth people and I think spending a vacation with you all and the people you select will be nothing short of a reflection of how awesome you two are. From exploring, diving, cooking, and making funny faces with Lenny, I think this trip will be one to remember and I hope I can be a part of it. Maybe I’ll learn a thing or two about sailing or diving to take back with me to St. Kitts, and definitely friends from around the world to remember for a lifetime! Love you guys ❤️

If I were privileged to join you, I would write about the experience and share my stories and photographs with people. What you have created is a wonderful escape for those of us who spend our days working at less exotic gigs to make ends meet. I know how to sail, so I could help on the boat. I like to cook and I play a pretty good guitar. Also, I'm a Registered Nurse and a lawyer which are both always handy to have around. Last, but not least, I usually have a humorous story or joke to share to brighten up the mood when the weather turns bad, things break, or life just isn't happening as we hoped.

I would love the chance to sail with La Vagabond and her crew because! I mean, the chance to see Rileys moustache in person and listen to Elayna play her guitar in real life? Enough said, both of these things are things of beauty! Recently I’ve been researching my family tree and realised I come from a long line of sailors in the British Navy going allllllllll the way back into the 1800s and beyond. That got me thinking, I’d love the chance to have an adventure on the ocean with the possibility of experiencing the camaraderie my Grandads must have felt. Seeing as how Riley, Elayana and the Vaga have introduced me to the sailing community, I figure it would be an epic first step to finding my own sea legs. Regardless, hopefully i'll get to see you all out on the ocean one day anyway =] Peace out Georgina x

SLV, or as it is known in our house "Feel Good TV", I want to thank you for all your content and how every week your bring a smile to me a my girlfriend's faces (and of course the possibility of joining your adventures for a bit)! I have been following your videos for a number of years and now been a patreon for about half a year! Your videos helped me take the plunge instead of constantly thinking about it, and I couldn't be happier every time I now step aboard my Catalina 30 as a 26 year old Captain. Furthermore, I wanted to thank you for showing everyone that sailing is more than just being wet and constantly rocking from side to side (speaking from my dinghy days). After seeing your videos my girlfriend has taken an immense liking to sailing and the entire mindset of freedom behind it and now happily joins me as First Mate every time we are on the water! Thank you again! And I would be delighted for the opportunity to share some of this with all three of you!

Quarantined, threefold months, my mate and I,
Landlocked, behind a screen and not the bow.
Dreams of La Vagabonde, the seas and sky,
A call to sails, I say, “The time is now!”

But then how might we ensure a passage?
Perhaps a trick- to secure our graces,
Supplies of cocoa, spills from our baggage!
A treat for Lenny, to cover basses.

Discussing Wallace, with Rileys adage,
Days of swimming, diving, and daytime tans.
Elayna’s stores of wine, we might ravage.
Might you adventure with your biggest fans?

 Shall we uncover islands unexplored?
Alas, quoth the Lenny, “Come on aboard!”

I just want to share this because I feel you will be looking through those who are eligible for the trip and might come across my comment. Thank you for bringing joy back into my life! Over 18 years ago I went on my last flight and developed such a fear that even if I was close to an airport I would hyperventilate. Watching your channel for the last year and a half developed such a yearning to experience life and new places that for once it overcame my fear. I boarded my first plane in over 28 years in February and by the end of the flight, I was looking out the window with a big grin on my face. I never wanted fear to win and for so many years it did. You provided that escape and also grew something inside of me that will allow me to experience life again. Thank you!!!!

After YEARS of scrimping, saving and prepping for our once in a lifetime 6 month long Oz Lap, it got canned by the end of the 2nd month (Thanks Covid-19). I'm ready to burn the caravan. The only thing that will save it is a trip to the Azores to hang with you lot, to refresh myself, in a new environment, a different culture and surrounded by blue sea rather than roads and dusty desert. To help celebrate my mums 60th, she'd be my plus 1. She's quite handy on the tools and could teach Riley a thing or 2. I, on the other hand, have nailed a vegetarian pattie and vego sausage rolls to put Elay to shame & extra bonus, I'm known as a baby whisperer in my tiny town (with 2 children of my own to back that claim). You will not regret having us as guests :D

I live in Copenhagen with my son (almost three years old). We sure enjoy this beautiful city, but I daily dream of moving to the countryside and spending more time in the outdoors as well as in and around the ocean. A life closer to nature. A simpler life. My parents have a small sailing boat (H-boat), and we go sailing with them now and then in the summertime. I used to learn to sail as a kid and hopefully my son will want to do the same, and one day experience the true magic of sailing. So far, he really enjoys our sparse boat life. I just recently started to watch you guys and I became a fan and patreon straight away. You are a true inspiration, and I would love for my son and I to come and visit you on your boat in the Azores. We will not only be able to provide Lenny with a play mate, but also provide you with lots of Danish “hygge” on board.

Dear Riley, Elayna and Lenny, I can't emphasize how much each of you inspire me. How you are as human beings, how authentically you live your lives, your care and kindness for others and the planet, but most importantly how much you believed in yourselves to chase your dreams that landed you an Outremer, each other, Lenny and all the amazing people and patrons you have connected with in your adventures. As someone still navigating life in my early 20s, it truly pushes me to follow my own bliss, to live authentically as I can and make every moment and interaction meaningful. I've been subscribed to you all for more than a year now, but your videos have been one of the main things I look forward to during Quarantine and five online classes here in America. As always, thank you for another great video. Being a landlubber from Minnesota, USA whose sum total sailing experience involved two day trips on Lake Superior several years ago, I would not presume to be a lucky Patreon to join you on LaVagabonde. However, I'd like to throw this out for your consideration. Would you ever consider the possibility of allowing some Patreons to join your family for dinner at a restaurant in the Azores (or anywhere else!)? We have been dreaming for years to travel more (wasn't even thinking about full-time or sailing at the time) but would never really go for it, until we discovered you guys before your Atlantic crossing. We started to follow, became patrons and just one month in, we handed in our notice to give up our flat in London to travel full time. We packed our 2 bedroom flat into 2 suitcases and off we went as slow traveling couple, sharing our story on KZbin. We are currently in Portugal mainland with Madeira as our next destination. While we can't afford a sailboat right now, it's our dream and goal that we are working towards. I grew up sailing off the coast of Southern California to Santa Catalina Island every summer as a kid. That time with the ocean shaped my passions and guided my studies in college. Although I’m hoping to work in marine science, I often joke with my friends that I could achieve my ultimate goal- to be near the ocean- by just opening a coffee shop up on the beach. I never realized living at sea was a possibility until watching La Vagabonde. Riley and Elayna opened my mind to a new world, one in which I could be a part of. After graduation in a year, I’m hoping to find an old sailboat to fix up and move aboard. I would love to meet them, because I think they could teach me so much. About how to sail, how to live, and how to work for what you want most in life. @La Vaga, thanks for blazing trails, I’m a huge fan

We were each unaware the other was addicted to your videos. We learned of our mutual love for your channel ironically, while sitting on a beach on the Oregon coast during a discussion of binge worthy you tube channels. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Meeting you and sharing the experience aboard LaVag would allow us to embark on an adventure to be remembered. Be safe.

Hey Lenny, this is Alton. I missed you in the Abacos February before last (my first sail at 9 months!!). For my 2nd birthday this month I was supposed to be sailing in St Lucia but mom and dad said the coronas ruined it. They drink too many coronas like your mum and dad do. I want to come sailing with you, don't care where because I'm not good with charts yet. We could eat sand together, that makes my dad crazy. Mom says I look good on camera too. We made a video in the Abacos too! Let me know if you want to see it, I'm the best part. Bye.

Quarantine has left my partner and I vitamin d deficient. My doctor has told me no supplement will do, the only way to quickly rectify my levels is a high, direct dose of Azores sunlight.

Wow this opportunity is crazy, My name is Sam and I am 18 years old, this is my graduating year from high school and it’s so crazy how different my last year of high school turned out, nothing like I ever imagined. I have a boat that I spend every weekend with my family on here in Ontario. When I was born my parents took me straight to our boat instead of home. Although I have grown up going to the boat every weekend I have never liked the idea of sailing until I found your channel. I would love to learn more about sailing and would be forever great full for this opportunity. When I grow up sailing around the world is a huge dream. Good luck to everyone and have an amazing day!!!!

G’day la vagabond enthusiasts, my name is Toby and I have been living vicariously, like a lot of you, through Riley and Elayna since 2016. I have been a Patreon of theirs for a lot of that time and my partner and I have enjoyed escaping with them once a week to somewhere we would prefer to be. If I get the opportunity to sail with La Vagabond in the Azores I plan to bring my kiteboarding gear to teach everyone on board. It is such an awesome way to explore the ocean utilising Mother Nature just like sailing. Cheers.

Woudn't it be awesome... If we all hit each others like button and then all of us came and we had a wonderful festival! With a huge La Vagabonde Aerobic class every morning. Just the Azores might be too small for almost 4000(!!!) Supporters on Patreon. I would just love to get to know all of you supporters who make it possible that i have such fun every week again and again!! :-) And of course i would be the happiest to meet this legendary family! I follow you since 3 years and you inspired me to dust off my grandfathers old sailing boat in summer and you even brought me light and fun hours during the cold winters. Lots of Love ♥

Ciao bellissimi, Here’s lulu, from Italy, and is in the name of my country that I feel I have a mission which will bring me on La Vagabonde: cooking Pizza! … and pasta, and a lot of Italian dishes :)) Elayna you are a great cook but hey, your pizza needs few adjustments, and thanks to those your boat life will be the synonymous of perfect life. Italians were made to spread love through food, right? So, who am I not to continue this battle with honour and sacrifice and promote the love for pasta al dente? OMG I can just imagine how delicious fresh pasta can be with fish caught straight from the ocean! Yummy :)) Sincerely I love you guys hope to meet you soon Baci dall’Italia

First off I can say that this Italian sounds like she has high standards for pizza that are probably a huge benefit. Plus she speaks 3 languages and she is really sweet, kind, funny, and is a spirit that loves to travel so I don't see any better qualities you could want in a companion to accompany you on this boat trip. Pick her :D

Our son Miles, now 6, absolutely adores Lenny and tells us how he can’t wait to have our own boat so we can, “catch some fish to take to Riley and Elaina and also play with Lenny.” Hopeful seafarers ourselves, your channel has brought so much inspiration and joy over the last couple of years. Three years ago, we sold our house and have traveled all over the country. In love with this lifestyle and the ocean, we are now plotting our course to boat ownership and alternative living for our small family of three and would be absolutely thrilled to meet you guys, hang out, get a feel for boat life, and see the Azores.

The opportunity to sail with you guys would be amazing, but I'm sure you'll lose ten of thousands of your subscribers, when you film me with my head in the toilet through seasickness. Therefore, I'd like to nominate my favourite patrons Wayne and Judy from Norfolk, Virginia. They were truly legendary with the help they gave you prior to the Atlantic crossing. PS: You need to edit your opening to include Andre as a stowaway.

First off me and my girlfriend would love to thank you guys for keeping us entertained for years! We’re new to the ye olde patron but thought it was about time we stopped free-loading! My girlfriend has been having it really tough recently being a nurse in the Uk (worst hit place in Europe currently) and is in desperate need of a good jolly after all this! All our love Josh and Hannah :)

The fast-paced world of my landlocked life has directed me away from what is truly important. The way you have been able to harness your lifestyle into supporting your family has given me a different perspective on how many possibilities there are to live one's life. Since I can remember, I have always been drawn to the ocean, its beauty and power are both humbling and empowering. To spend time on your boat would be an honour as your channel has opened my life up to new beginnings-all the best in your upcoming sail endeavours.

I think, like many people have said, I don't deserve this privilege more than anyone else. I've been following you guys for around a year. maybe. I'm a college student from the Midwest. This channel has been so sweet to watch and enjoy the life that you guys live. Every Time I watch the Bahamas videos, it makes me want to drop out of school and live a spontaneous life like you guys. If I won this trip I would bring my dad because he is one of my best friends. He would love to geek out and ask a million questions about the boat, and I'm sure Riley would love that. I would love chatting with Elena and helping her cook and watch Lenny. I've been a camp counselor for the past 5 summers so I love kiddos.Thank you for putting out such beautiful and entertaining videos.

Good day mates, as Riley would say! As I haven’t acquired legend status quite yet, I still love you guys as much as the people who have watched from the beginning. My dad introduced me to this, saying I should watch the people living our dream life. And boy was he right! Growing up with a boat and the boating community is something I have held close to my heart as an adult, as real life seems to get in the way of our big dreams. BUT, Luckily we have the coolest, chillest (that’s my age & country showing for ya ha), free-spirited, in-touch, smart, and safe people,o try to model life after. Sounds a bit weird, I can hear you saying “we’re not role models pants!” , but I do truly aspire to be as in the moment as you all. Anyways, dropping in to say thanks, show my appreciation, & well of course, throw my bid in for the Azores experience hah hope you’re enjoying a cold beer & keeping busy 💕 with love and a hug for Mr. Biscuit, your average nurse living in NC, USA.

Because I followed @riley.whitlum only! Gotta pump those numbers up! I mean I would love to join you guys. And I think my girlfriend would be pretty stoked as well. Lenny's growling was a daily source of entertainment for us in the past few weeks. Sometimes we communicate just in Lenny growls. Especially when food is involved.... Anyways, love what y'all are doing. You're keeping our spirits alive as we're semi quarantined up here in Portland,Oregon as I plug away behind a computer most days. Mostly looking at used sailboats but sometimes I get some work done!

Dear Elayna, Riley and Lenny, my absolute 3 favourite sailors vagabonds💙💙💙 I am French, artist, photographer, yogi, wild at heart, dancer, free diver, Nature listener… So much I could say about you and your beautiful French Cat since I found you on youtube and know your story. I have been one of your patreons for few months but sadly had to cancel it as I had to face a difficult financial situation. But as soon as I totally recover from it, I will come back as patreon of yours for sure. I am so so so inspired by you and the lovely lifestyle and family you have created. I talk so often about you and your adventures to friends and they always ask me where to follow you after I tell passionately about your adventures. One of my dreams is to sail around the world, on a cat like yours, growing little green plants and flowers on it;) creating a family, def same kind of vibes as you 3. I can see beautiful visions already which is a first good step;) yes step by step, first I want to meet the sailor in good balance with me:) Oh Captain my captain take me away⠀ And carry me out to sea⠀ Let’s sail into the sunset⠀ And be pirates bold and free 🖤⚔️🐚 WHERE ARE YOU?;) I AM MANIFESTING YOU 💙 For now, I am definitely inspired to photograph you 3 in my art style, I use mostly Leica analog with roll films.. and learning more from you about how to sail … sharing in co-creation together:) in the sea of love. I spent time in the Algarve coast of beautiful Portugal where I have surfer friends who live there. And would love to discover the magic of the Azores someday. If it could be with you 3 sailing La Vagabonde, my HeArt would literally explode! I always keep faith in my dreams to manifest for real and some of them do:) This dream to sail with you 3 in the near future in the Azores or elsewhere in the world feels very strong in my heart so I definitely keep faith about it:) Dancing with Lenny on the deck, Singing with you and the whales, exploring magic with you and sharing it through videos and photos with heart and art to the world, with awareness, care and respect for our gorgeous Blue Planet:) And in all this beauty, I am also ready to face storms if we have to. Storms are also full of beauty and love, and great crew can face it with grace:) bringing even more Coragem, Amor, Alegria :) Love you 3 and ALL the online crew here following you with love 💙 Aaaah Mas Amor por favor :) 💙💙💙

If I won a trip to come meet you guys, I would be over the moon! Heres why I should: My house got broken into in March. I was home, it was 2:30AM, my dog woke me up, and I called the police immediately. The offender tried to force his way through my bedroom door, most likely with the intention to hurt me or worse. I haven't felt safe in my home since. due to quarantine, I haven't had much option. The crime was personal and I think about it every day. Being an avid traveller myself, normally I would have escaped what feels like a trap by now to sit and reflect on a beach and avoid my problems. Having to sit with my problems is difficult, but I have learned a whole lot about myself in the process. Coming on board would undoubtedly be the escape of a lifetime! I am incredibly grateful to my parents for coming and staying with me during this difficult time, despite the risks associated with travelling. I am also grateful to you guys for these episodes. They give me something to look forward to every week and something to binge in between. The lives you live are incredibly inspirational and exposing them online is no small feat of courage and dedication. This video was a sign to me, that it was time to finally become a patron. Thanks again for all you do!

Oh my, the Azores would be fantastic....having travelled quite a bit , one place I've not been. Having been ill a few years ago, ( all good now) I'm trying to do things out of my box and sailing would definitely top the list ! I've just become a patron so I know someone else will be more deserving but I know my time will come, hopefully sooner then later...happy sailing and good luck to all ! ❤

It would be cool to swap travel stories over a beer with fellow SLV fans, discuss podcasts and islands with Riley and Elayna over a blended vegetable grog, and then debate Environmental policy with Lenny over a table-mushed strawberry. SLV is earnest and entertaining in a metaphorical sea of shakier-footage travel vlogs, and it would be class to join the Azores meet-up

I am sure there are many deserving people and I'm not getting my hopes up, but even without the opportunity to come on board I just wanted to say: Thank you for making these videos. In dark times your spirit and laughter and the beautiful landscapes you help us visit trough your experiences have cheered me up immensely. Every new upload makes my day if not my week and I am catching up on all the old ones when there aren't any new videos. I recently also started following Elayna's channel to meet my LaVagabonde needs. I started following you when you sailed Greta over the Atlantic, my father actually showed me your channel, he would put your route in his windfinder and navigation apps every day and cross fingers that you'd make it in time, when you uploaded the crossing videos I was so impressed by you and now I wouldn't miss an episode for the world. I honestly have never seen a youtube channel that's more down to earth and two people who are living such a beautiful life and keep it so real at the same time. You guys are amazing.
