I like how people are calling you two rich and trying to through shade yet never watched from the beginning until now. They worked hard for where they are now, stop hating on them and just appreciate the quality content that they are putting out on KZbin. They could just stop posting and live their best life sailing the world.

Gabrielle Clarke you’re right! But not just that. Even if they were rich and never worked a day in their lives. Who cares?! Nobody’s business. They’re not taking advantage of any other people, or are behaving like arrogant pricks. Anybody with a brain, can tell they’re hardworking, down to Earth people.

Not hate, just correcting their self titles as “vagabonds”. Nothing they do or have is anywhere near considered being a vagabond. Get ride of all that fancy crap and Grab a back pack and go. They would be considered more as well off sailors or tourists rather than a vagabond. Vagabond is a term u earn, not give to yourself cuz u took a long vacation. It’s disrespectful to the true nomad travelers who do it right.

@@agentsnakeplisskin La Vagabonde is the name of the vessel- they have never called themselves vagabonds. They have never claimed to do anything other than giving up land life to live on the sea, decided to film it and show how others could do it too. @@agentsnakeplisskin From a quick search to the meaning of vagabond. " What is the example of vagabond? The definition of a vagabond is a nomad or person without a permanent home, who drifts from place to place. A yacht owner who lives on his boat and sales from port to port is an example of a vagabond."

He worked in the mines/oil rig and invested everything he saved to get the first boat. Gotta admit, I kinda slipped out around episode 105 but this popped up today and watched it for old times sakes. Loved it, loved the atmospherics, the editing etc. Never one to harp on the learning while doing purist innocence of the early episodes, life moves on, you can't go home again, and this one seems to have arrived as a graceful easy paced lullaby. Enjoyed the guy eating fish "seasoned" in salt water, the very image of taking life in stride.. Ya'll look really happy, a very nice vibe.

@4:48 Thanks for sharing and pick up that spark plug! I'm proud that you can experience being alone on an island and am happy you took time to share. Speaking of driftwood, my favorite smoked salmon(Bristol Bay Sockeye) was made with driftwood. A woman I know would travel the beach to collect wood to create her particular flavor.

I applaud you for putting the fire out completely with water. Once while walking on the beach in Adelaide as a child of 11, I stepped on an apparent solid sand surface only to break through the surface into a pit that had the night before used for a large barbeque. Went to my ankles in the pit and got some severe burns on my feet. Aussies learn to put out fires properly, due to the risk of bushfires/wildfires. Not all do though and the risk to all strolling on the beach is high. Also a great video. Perhaps you could add a spot of "wisdom" knowledge routinely as it is a good learning experience.

If you want some good corn on the cob, buy the corn with the husk on still (but will work without) , peal back the husk but don't break it off, generously rub some olive oil on the cob, put back the husk, wrap in aluminum foil and cook it first, let it cook till you are ready to eat (at least 30 mins). You will have great tasting sweet corn on the cob without using butter, it doesn't even need any herbs or spice, the olive oil does it all.

Pick and eat plants would be perfect, I recommend Kumara/sweet potato leaves in salads and you might get sweet potatoes to eat too. A double eating plant that's a super food, easy and fast growing. Cut the end off a Kumara, place in water and watch it grow. I use 4 tooth picks to suspend in a big glass jar (you can layer transplant to a pot) , vines can grow really long or you can trim them as needed. Awesome video, love the island hoping.

Give this a try sometime. Gut the fish but don't scale it. Burn your frie to hot coals and simply lay the fish right on those coals. When all the scales and skin burn to charcoal, flip it over and burn the other side. Lift off the burned part, usually comes up as one piece, and you should have steaming perfectly cooked fish. Ones the size of this fish you had here are perfect for this method.

With this technique you can use fish better without wasting it and will be more tasty ;)

Elayna cooks and takes care of lenny and helps with maintaining the boat, while riley goes out a fishes, does the heavier lifting and also spends time with lenny. its a nice balance and equal responsibility that are both needed.. no talk of feminism and other socially backwards ideas.. removing yourself from the material and social lock of society must be so freeing.. just living healthy... mentally, physically, and most important spiritually.

Sailor is a great name for a boy or girl! "Slate" (Humphrey Bogart) and "Sailor" (Lauren Bacall) owned a hotel in Cuba and cruised the Caribbean aboard their Boat "Bold Venture" on their radio show called "Bold Venture". You can listen to their adventures online for free. Google it.

It’s great that things can be compartmentalized in life sometimes, such as great and interesting life events, as they help to keep track of our experiences without too much thought. For example sailing the monohull, and then of course the catamaran. It makes it easier to recall some of the specifics and details. And of course, when a little one comes along as well, then that’s a milestone that can’t be confused. Anyway, love watching thank you for sharing
