Can't stop laughing. You are so brave filming the Victron plunge. Most people would have left that out. But you are not afraid and it's so good for people to know that there is definitively a LOT of boat work for every hour of sunshine. Not sure about you young guys but me I see it as a perfect retirement lifestyle because it keeps you a) active b) mind focused on problem solving c) Keeps you looking towards the next destination the next challenge d) keeps you living slim and not in the couch watching TV. Best of luck keep it up !

*Kudos Mary! Way to quit and being able to rock it in a bikini after four kids shows what a bad-ass you are!* David I forgive you for posting irregularly. Your videos prove that you’re truly passionate about creative fun videos for us to enjoy. You’re a hard working and busy papa taking the time to film life going through the journey of creating a wonderful alternative family sailing lifestyle for you and your beautiful family. That’s a process that takes a long time with limited funds, time, and while learning new skills for filming, editing, boat work, sailing, etc…plus on top of prepping a home to sell and while raising a family. For now just keep working on keeping the dream alive.

One thing I learned when I was half way from Georgia to Colorado was that big hose clamps from a truck stop are far superior to zip ties. I had to bond two pieces of exhaust back together. Grab yourself a bunch of hose clamps and you will be surprised how often you use them. Helps that they are almost all stainless too....

I couldn’t stop laughing, sorry 😢 I can understand the pain. If you can dive the best place to be is a marina. You’re not a sailor until you drop something important overboard. Welcome back. Even brand new boats have issues. Many years ago I bought one new. The joys of boating lasted about a month before I was in a situation where everyone else on the boat was having fun while I had my ass in the engine room fixing things. Even worse the manufacturer used cheap electrical terminals and after about six months I started having intermittent electrical issues. That was a fun job redoing all the termination points with the right marine grade terminals. Hopefully all the major stuff will be finished soon and y'all can get to sailing and having some fun. Oh and I loved the way Mary quit. You have no idea how many people out here would love to do it the way she did. I sure hope she gave them a piece of her mind on the way out the door. Hell with giving two weeks notice too. Employers don't give you two weeks to prepare for a layoff or termination.
