With all due respect, buddy, you have no business being out in the water with your lack of experience You’re putting your kids at risk and you put other people in a position that is not fair. If something happens to you, which is beyond your experience other people have to risk their lives to rescue you. Take 5 years to properly learn or hire a crew And definitely get radar and AIS I’m not being harsh, but what you’re doing is just a irresponsible

KZbinrs are like modern Peddlers they want to deter everyone else the worst part is they actually thank their patreons for making these videos possible the videos don't call s*** the Patriots are supporting them like bums. I can go and buy 60' sailboat and get a sniper and crew and pay them with provisions I'm bored. These KZbinrs are destroying every industry in the market. It needs to be taxed and regulated

Putting your wife, who has never handled a boat before, on night watch... You act like all of this is a game but it really isn't. The "Woops, look at me, I'm a dummy dumb dumb sailor" thing isn't charming. You have children on that boat. But judging by your attitude it's all good as long as that KZbin algorithm rewards you with clicks. Yikes.

Sir no one is born with the knowledge but in order to go in the ocean, risking the lives of your family, the lives of other sailors and ships. you at least have to have some knowledge. You don't know how to sail, how navigate, how nothing, it seems that you are more worried about making a video than actually do some sailing. Sir, when ship goes down it goes down in minutes, when a person goes overboard .. he/she is dead .. simple as that.

Excellent question : what do you call sleeves for your pants. Well, in the languages of the former Yugoslavia, we HAVE a word, based on the word leg. Kind of if for arms it is armEES, then for the leg it is legEES. Just invention, but makes you get it.

Check out "The Loss of Sailing Vessel Solution in the North Atlantic" for a story about how loss of propulsion can contribute to a boat sinking in bad weather This reminds me of youtube amateur aviation videos. Except with boating, there's probably less awareness/acknowledgment of danger, and fewer highly-visible crash sites to spread awareness. People just ... disappear on the water. Don't have to think about it as much as you do when you see a wreck of twisted steel on fire

I don't mind working with ignorant people But I won't work with them if they're not willing to work harder than I am, suffer more, and have a more serious attitude Are these guys family, or related to Parlay in some way? I don't understand the relationship. Seems like a lot of liability and I don't see the reward. I thought Parlay was one of the bigger youtube boat channels but idk.

Goes to show a credit card can buy you almost anything, except experience. How much did you pay for that boat? You have zero business being on a sailboat. Buy a motorboat. You have the experience of a motorboater..

This reminds me on a surf trip in France we had a van we were travelling in. The brake shoes were too thin so the brake cylinder overextended, leaving us with emergency brakes only. We drove around like that for a week until we were cruising downhill into an intersection and my friend driving ripped the emergency brake pull clear out of the dash (it was a 70's European van). We flew through the intersection between cars and fortunately it was uphill on the other side. We rolled to a stop and began searching residential sheds and garages and found some baling wire and bound the brake cylinder back together. The brakes would work if we used a feather touch and not flex the baling wire too much. Good times.

The crew in this passage was put in a difficult position as we question why did he allow an unsecured mooring line on deck, why didn’t he turn on the VHF radio or have it on the agreed channel, why didn’t he rework the settings on the auto pilot, why didn’t he try set up a sheet to tiller/wheel self steering system, why didn’t he check that the boat was seaworthy before heading out, why didn’t he take over? This kind of situation is much too common and be be often read in accident reports. The crew is the crew and the skipper is the skipper, that’s it. A newbie skipper can’t assume that the crew will take responsibility. If the skipper can’t handle everything on the boat he should not go to sea until he can. The skipper doesn’t know what the crew can actually do; what if the crew is badly sea sick or ill, or falls overboard and is relying on the skipper to rescue him. If I were that crew member I would be really kissed off to have a. Been on board and b. Be shown in this video. The main objectives should be to have an adventure on a seaworthy boat, have a happy crew that is learning and developing, and to arrive safely. When the priority is to make videos you are asking for trouble.

@@david_shih norway. normal berth up to 50 feet.in average harbour 1200 usd..that is for the season. spring to autumn. then you pay ca 400 usd to put in on the hard/or water til next year. had to check the rates to get them fairly right. crane cost goes with boat size . off course there is expensive places too.but this is on average..NOT in city centrum.electricity is free in the season.for now.soon you need to pay. they are putting up boxes with cash cards in them. :(
