Riley your words are so wise-it’s honestly so freshing to see youtubers who produce such genuine nonmaterialistic real content (just had to put that out there) & Lenny is growing so fast aw he’s so precious, wishing you the best
@JamesNewsomeCaiLeighAnna5 жыл бұрын
I'll have to ditto this remark by Ane. As good as the quality of SLV videos are they have lost something over the last year or two. As you call it "real content" is good. Maybe not all the time, or maybe a good mix of professional quality travel channel type material with a good dose of the more real or natural stuff. That's what we originally saw on SLV that we liked so much.
@mxkidzzvlog86865 жыл бұрын
So true Ane. This vid from both Riley and Elayna's perspective about the grumpy blah days has given me encouragement to just keep slogging through the hard time we're going through now... To not chuck in the towel and sell the boat. Elayna honey, I empathize with the four seasons in one day feeling, post partum wise but magnified by cabin fever. Love to you all xxx

I was thinking the same thing! Sometimes I think Elayna really pulls it out with the cooking and cleaning and filming and editing, but then it's clear the Riley takes the lead sometimes too especially with Lenny now. They have a really great give and take I think.

Hi! I've been watching your videos of Sailing La Vagabonde for 3 years and they're truly a joy to watch! :)...I recently married my girlfriend of 5 years back in December. Since being married and watching your videos, i've been impacted by your patience with each other and how you speak to each other. Its reminded meto slow down and take time to appreciate my wife for even the small things that she does. Its reminded me to be more patient and understanding with her, and its reminded me to think before I speak and not always take things so seriously. I think its so awesome how you two take the time to consider each other even when you might feel like doing the total opposite lol. Im sure like all of us you have your quarrels, and bad moments, but their is a genuiness I feel from you too and I see the heart. You two have been a Blessing to me and I just want to thank you. Congratulations as well on your new Baby boy Lenny!! I am so so excited for you two. I look forward to seeing all the adventures ahead with you three! Many Blessings, Henry

Riley, I like what you said about real life verses screen life and how it can affect you. I live with my family on boat, on a UK river. Unlike in a house where you can go to a separate place and have privacy and solitude, living onboard a vessel restricts how much privacy you get through lack of space and the close proximity to others a small space brings. By constantly filming your days you’re further reducing the amount of pure ‘off work’ time you spend as a family. But what a way to spend the time! You guys love life and this shows in the way you portray the places and people you visit. Congratulations on Lenny, his smile is superb! Thanks for the vlogs, they’re brilliant. Lee.

You kids are just brilliant. Your smiles are so contagious. I watch a few channels and your the only channel i watch that doesnt have any trolls at all. All amazing comments. Love coming to this channel. Do you ever do live chats. Im almost 60 years old and live in Utah. Ive never ever seen the ocean. Never been on a boat. Always my dream as a small child to be on a sail boat watching the sunset with the one i love. My husband passed so we never got to try it. So now i watch my dreams through your eyes. What i would give to go for a ride with you two. I cant swim but this grandma could watch the baby and watch for the sunset. You two are so adventurous like my own kids. More than anything i wish you and your family much happines. Your leading my dream life.something ill never be able too do. Your very blessed. Much love from Utah.

One of the endearing qualities of your episodes is the honesty which I think most of us feel when we watch your life on the ocean. It is one of the reasons I became a patron. Honesty is a rare commodity online, and you guys, and Lenny, have captured lightning in a bottle. Your skits are fun as well, and I hope we see more when your creative side gets the opportunity. I hope, also, everyone realizes how much time and effort it takes to provide this content. Fair winds and following sea.

Waking up and do it all again just for that love, the look and a smile... 2.0 is when they start moving around and you start stacking things up in a ”non reachable hight” and ”babyproofing” your life.. 👼🤣🤗👍 Loving it ive done it tree times.. 😁

I like that you have different personalities going on. It isn't just about one or the other or just how you perfectly interact. There is a lot more than that and I think is why it works. Showing all the different aspects keeps it interesting and I think also keeps you thinking about the how's and why's of it all. I myself enjoy hearing about the decision process that seems to be working. It was a huge step to buy the new boat. Especially coming from an escapist point of view that normally wants to simplify in the obvious ways of staying small and ridiculously safe financially and ends up costing more and bogs one down with repairs and worries. Keep on keeping on. If you ever get the yen to sail past some pagodas, head inland from Shanghai to Hangzhou Bay and Hangzhou and I'll show you around.

Have you thought about starting or ending each episode with a Map showing where you are in the world. You’ve got so many videos and traveled so much it’s nice so look up where you are. Great videos guys , been following you from the start and they are getting even better. Your “can do” attitude is often hysterically inspiring to a cynical Brit (though it did get my wife and I into sailing and for that you are superstars!) Intrigued to see how you cope with your little man. To be honest I thought his arrival would mean a new adventure for you guys and an end to La Vagabonde . Ours has just turned 6 months and the thought of looking after him on a yacht for even 10 minutes makes me break out into a sweat. Wishing you safe travels , fun times and good luck 👍

I've seen manta rays with over 20 foot wingspans jump clean out of the water. Manta rays eat mostly plankton, but they also eat small fish. It's generally thought that when a manta ray does his belly flop jump that he's stunning bait fish and then going under to scoop them into his mouth. I used to work in a trace analysis lab under a marine biologist and this is his explanation. When I lived in Jupiter, FL I did a lot of offshore fishing and diving. Stingrays exhibit this kind of behavior and are normally a shallow water ray. I've never seen them jump. Welcome to Florida and thanks for sharing your dream with us.
