It is definitely wrong...if there is damage to the stalled vessel or the bridge, the yacht caption is responsible .

I always thought that a boat's captain was liable for any damage that their vessel's wake caused. In this case if that was a no wake zone and the disabled boat was able to get the boats name then whoever handles law enforcement at that location should have been called. with that being said, the disabled vessel's occupants should have been wearing their PFD's

LOL many a boat are on the bottom because the anchor is wedged in deep on a fast incoming tide pull's the bow right under you don't anchor in a place like Haulover or Boca Grande pass in SW Florida, it's easy being an arm-chair captain

The vessel was slowing down you can clearly see him come off plane at the bridge which is where the no wake zone starts. Also he prob thought the small boat was fishing around the bridge. I’ve been to haulover and many small boats fish near the bridge. The Capt of the fishing boat made very littte indication he was in distress. Did he sound his horn or stand on the bow and wave his arms back and forth…nope.

Slower boat upon approach has the right of way Sea Ray is over loaded, bow riding is not safe no matter the boat, unless it is a ship. Why doesn’t the US Coastguard patrol this inlet , and issue citations??

By the time the anchor took hold, the boat would likely been in the pilings anyway. The best option would have been to throw out the fenders just saying. PS mount a couple inboard per side and deploy when necessary...

Two things: 1) why is it that only responsible Captains slow down under a bridge? BTW he did slow-down after he cleared the bridge but, as we all know, the wake you experience now was created 100 yds earlier. 2) why wasn't he aware that the boat was not under way (actually dead in the water) and he should have rendered assistance? I hope he sees this and realizes he should have done things a bit differently.

The Captain on the bigger boat should have paid more attention and possibly helped. Hitting the side walls or bridge supports is no good but without power you're in real trouble there. And, you don't let anyone on the bow in that kind of water. What's wrong w/people? Nevermind!!

Yeah, their are rules down in the Miami River @ the inlet & then their are common sense type of being respectful rules people ought to extend to one another but the broken down vessel was rocked/propelled into the bridge pylon guards because that yacht failed to slow down..... IDKnow the rules but "Common Sense" rolled right on down the river - out to sea !!

It appears there is a problem with the engine in the first video; or the Captain would have pushed the throttle forward to avoid the pilings? On my Baja, I have two fenders permanently mounted per side that can be thrown outboard immediately at the correct height to protect the widest portion of the hull; which also provides for quick launches, recoveries or emergencies. PS Watching your videos two things stand out. There is a lot of money in FL and an egregious lack of boating skills on the part of many especially the jet ski crowd...

The vessel under way has the right of way, The disabled vessel being less than twelve meters was not required to display any signals but, if disagreeing with the underway vessels actions should signal with five short horn blast. If radio equipped the disabled vessel should have broadcast its situation.
