Hey Bud, I also have a PCM 5.8 liter HO and have been doing all my service for 25 years. You do everything exactly like I do, and you are spot on with your technique. You are a master, especially considering your age!

Justin, thank you for all your videos. Got my 2002 Air Nautique 196. This is my first boat, and I'm a little bit scared in doing what your doing winterizing your boat. But as I watched your video, it gives me a little bit of confidence of doing it. Sure saves me allot of money if I do it myself. Pls keep up the great videos, very informative. Greatly appreciated as well, all the info & advice that you give out. Thank you so much.....

Good job Justin, keep up the videos. Have you ever removed the transom seat? If so, how.
@92813justin7 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Hank Henry. The videos are coming every week. I have removed the rear seat plenty of times. This is a great suggestion and I will make a video on how to remove the back seat.
@EvoDave425 жыл бұрын
Hank, the rear set may seem 'stuck in place because the rub rail cushions interfere with the seats movement out. The seat will come out, but it needs to be finagled a bit. I have friends with the same boat, and they all seem to come out differently. I use cardboard wedged between the rub rail cushions and the rear seat to keep the rear seat from cutting into the rub rail upholstery when I wrestle the seat out. That rear seat design is pretty lousy ! Part of what makes it funky is the allowance for the ballast tanks. Even with that, I don't see why it could not have been better designed to 'lift' out vertically like the old Mastercraft Prostars !

I have a question. I have a 330 pcm Excalibur engine. The steering is hard when turning left but soft when turning right, only in the water though. Out of the water it turns normal. A friend said to check the power steering fluid by belt tension. I look but can’t seem to find a steering pump. Or maybe just can’t see it because engine sit low in the back of boat. Do these engine have power steering pump and fluid.
@92813justin3 жыл бұрын
Ski nautiques do not have power steering. It the pressure only when you are moving? If so there is a trim tab on the rudder you can adjust.
@Rob-qd6nh3 жыл бұрын
@@92813justin thank you very much. Yea my rudder have 3 tabs. On it. Now that you say that... I remember seeing my dog biting on the rudder where the tabs are at. How and is it easy to adjust or should I take to shop, for professional. Thank you a lot

How do you get the center drain plug out of the center of the boat? I have a older 1986 Marlin i can see it but don’t know how to get the thing out. Thanks

I reach down in a weird angle and unscrew it. Be super careful when your engine is hot.

Nice work. This engine is a little special - it needs zinc in the oil. I only run valvoline vr1 40w in my gt40.

My boat shop recommended this too, and he also said use 20/50 if you can get it. I got it for $30 on amazon for a 6 quart case. Just did my first oil change to winterize...

How did you find a TSC1 with 230 hours? Ski it Again? Boat trader? I'm hoping to be in the market for one of these exact boats (I'd prefer a 1998 or 1999, but would be okay with a 1997) within the next couple years and really want to find one that's in this nice of shape.
@92813justin7 жыл бұрын
Sam Hansen I purchased this boat with 60 hours a couple of years ago. This boat was parked under a carport for 3 years and never saw it move. I ended up emailing him to see if he was interested in selling it. Turns out he did and it has been such a great boat! Go with nautoque!

Awesome. Great find! I ski behind a 1998 Ski Nautique with a GT40 very frequently and love the hull. I have skied behind a lot of boats and enjoy my time behind my club's 1998. Within the next few years, I'd love to pick up one of these or a 1995-1997 MasterCraft ProStar 190, but I'd prefer the 'Tique. Thank you for doing all these maintenance videos.
