A man was flying his drone and it videotaped two Great White sharks over six feet long near a boat towing people in inflatable water toys.

Yes, it is the ocean, but sharks don't stay in one area, they constantly move about. For example, some drone footage don't show sharks near the beach, and that is because sharks onky go near beaches for reasons like hunting seals and sea lions or to cruise about in the shallows and even patrol. It's like saying "they had no idea there were lions in the area.. IT'S THE SAVANNA" yet there are no lions in the area because lions move from one place to another or just simply move about.

Theres certain places where great white doesnt often visit, and some places where they do. Theres also places where they breed and places where juveniles stays. Its usually very particular. Its not a strange thing for people to be surprised at the site of a great white where they dont usually visit. I have to say though these past years there have been a lot more sightings of great white than usual around the O.C. I used to go fishing a lot on our boat around these areas and seen a lot of awesome things and unique sea creatures. I cant say ive ever seen a white, although i knew there are some around the Catalina island.

A six foot great white is just a youngster. Adults can reach up to 20 ft in length! The juveniles like to swim in those waters, using it as sort of a nursery, because they are relatively safe environments for them. So no, the sharks weren't desperate for food and going after people. The babies just like to hang out in the area

TheElephantQueen 17 - IKR? By Manhattan Pier & El Porto, it's just teeming with 6' - 10' GW sharks - everywhere! It's like a shark nursery over there. There's only ever been 1 problem: when a fisherman was reeling in a juvenile he'd illegally snagged, and it got too close to a race swimmer, and he got nipped on the chest, (about 10 yrs. ago)! He was FINE, scared spitless and screaming like a Grrl, but 100% OK! (Google: Manhattan Pier Shark attack, from mebbe 10 yrs ago - they video'd the entire thing, from the Pier). BTW, another Videographee had a run-on w/a Tiger Shark, No. Of El Porto. No contact, but good footage!
