Sink: one for washing with suds, the other nearer to the drainer for rinsing. Saves on using running water.

Yep, that's the same reason for having a double sink in a house, but if you have a dishwasher it matters less. Ever seen a dishwasher commercial claiming running the dishwasher uses less water than hand washing the dishes? That's true if you don't have a double sink. Washing dishes with running water is tremendously wasteful. But if you have one sink partly filled with soapy water and one partly filled with rinse water you can get get everything clean with only a little water, then after they're stacked up, give them one quick rinse with running water before putting the on the drying rack.

Hahaha thank you!! Don’t worry he has half of one of my wardrobes now! We now do a reassessment out of clothes every 3 months 🙈 I’m sure Alf has more clothes than me though!! 😂 One. sink. Is much better!! It’s a job on the list to change it to one eventually!! 😊
