Back in the days when i used to fly, i would take a skyhawk from the gw up the hudson. You should see it during the fall! Such a pretty flight. That river has tons of history all around it.

The Hudson was my old cruising waters. Surprised you didn’t mention Bannermans Island, just before the Newburg bridge. Very interesting history, Google it. Hope you get to Erie before the snow.

If you passed West Point, up on the right Shoreline you’ll find George Washington’s main post where he ran his army from. Back in the day.

I live in upstate NY and boat on the Hudson River every season and there is NO more beautiful river in the world, IMO. I cheered a little when you went under the Tappan Zee bridge and rightfully referred to it by the correct name as opposed the new politically narcissistic name.
@dabprod Жыл бұрын
Yeah.....I caught that too. Used to drive over the old bridge twice a day many years ago.
@21jimmyo3 ай бұрын
The Tappan Zee bridge was torn down. This is a new bridge, thus a new name. You might not like the name for your political reasons, but it still deserves a new name.
