Good morning all: I personally find that little red toy humorous especially in the Point Pleasant Cannal. At least there was only 1 person in the bow instead of a full house. All you need is a power loss and you are done. Thank you for another great video guys, TMP from N.J.

That 20' crownline's hull isn't designed for those kind of waves. They're great boats though.

Seems like these captains do not have their hulls antifouled regularly...My Uncle took his boat out of the water ecery Fall to scrape and paint, of course it was a now classic woodie. I know because he made me help him down in Glen Cove!

All of these are little trailer boats for the most part, pull them out of the water and wash the thing, but then again they drive them like they care for them

I’m not a big fan of passing in the canal … unfortunately it happens a lot there when unnecessary. Having said that - the pass you highlighted didn’t impact the other boat - so it wasn’t a problem. The passing captain was a little closer to the wall than I’d ever be in there. Things change quickly

Am I totally confused here? The entrance looks like the Manasquan, but isnt that the bridge near the bay entrance?
@ShoreBoats2 жыл бұрын
Nope, this is the bridge by the Manasquan entrance!

The "new" Rt. 88 bridge and the Lovelandtown Bridge are very similar. The old 88 bridge could've had its own KZbin channel.
@jwitheri2 жыл бұрын
@@brandonseyfried1251 Yeah, I remember the old one. Fun times. This bridge looks like it opens normally and doesn’t lift straight up, but I guess it’s just the angle of the video and I’m not seeing it completely. Haven’t gone through the canal in probably 20 years. Maybe time for another trip just for fun.
@brandonseyfried12512 жыл бұрын
@@jwitheri the new bridge went in service in, I believe, 1986. If you recall, the old firehouse and a gas station stood where the westbound approach grade is now. While the old bridge was still being used and the construction site and roadway had hay bales separating them we ran a lot of calls for hay bales on fire caused by cigarettes.

Gotta love bots. But here is a question, do the bots comments help your algorithm?? And I find it interesting how you don’t see too many bad captains going through Manasquan inlet but an inordinate amount going through the canal. Keep pumping out the quality content!!
