martoli is a small village located in johar valley of devbhoomi uttrakhand himalaya , its situated right in front of mt nanda devi and situated at an altitude of 3300 m sea elevation, its amongst most beautiful village of whole johar valley, its from village martoli only from which you can get the glimpse of mt nanda devi indias second highest peak and highest peak completely within India ,
so here we are doing boating in martoli lake, we can proudly say we were the first ever to do boating in it , so as the story goes around 4-5 years ago due to heavy snowfall almost every TRH igloo hut got heavey damage , we found that the broken pieces of TRH float quite well on water so we pushed ,pulled and dragged it for almost 2 km and bought it to this lake
