That is the kind of childhood I had with tent camping thrown in also. Campfires, hiking, sleeping under the stars. U name it. We did it in the fifties and sixties growing up then raising my boys the same way. It’s different with my grandaughters.

Beautiful country side and lake! I loved the new growth on the conifer, and the flowers by the house! It looks as if it is still “spring - time” there. I had always wanted to see that nature of Alaska. At 83 i will just dream of it, or enjoy the videos of those who have made Alaska there home! I know youve been having issues with mosquitos. Take strong smelling dryer sheets with you, put them in your pockets.Citronella candles work well too. Flies cut up Irish Spring soap put it in a jar no lid. Or you can use sandwich bags with water nd pennies in it nd hang a few around where youre having fly issues. Just heads up, multiple mosquitoe coils, and I mean multiple, a long with the candles will create a great barrier for your outdoor activities. Especially the patio.
