It's always fun to get away from the homestead & have a little fun. Today we surprised the boys with a trip to the Wildlife Conservation Center! All the Alaska grown animals, up close & personal!
Then we spend a day at home, building our new, much needed, wood shed for our off grid cabin! Last winter we arrived in Alaska, snow was already on the ground and there was no time to stock up on wood. Joe & I had to go out in negative temps to harvest wood every 3 wks in order to heat the cabin. This year, we're being proactive & storing it up through the summer so we can stay toasty & warm inside this winter when its COLD outside!
Our wood shed is 16X10. This will give us much needed space for storing up all the wood we need for the winter to heat our little 576 sq ft cabin here in the cold winters of Alaska. Thanks for joining us for another video, cheers!

Always look forward to surprising the boys with a little fun! The conservation center was a much needed break from the work & projects here on the homestead, but its back to work! Finally got our wood shed up. Still have some finishing touches, more slats on the sides etc., but the majority of the work is done. We plan to build one or two more smaller wood sheds on the property, but for now this'll do! Now we can start putting up some firewood for next winter. Thanks for joining us for another video! 😘Cheers...

Don't listen to the Negative Nelly's, they also forget who makes most of the food, home schools the boys, cleans the house, you do help Joe with what he is working on. Plus I like how you are always complementing him, encouraging him and just letting him know how much you appreciate everything he does. Like you said, y'all are a Team! Love your you tube show. Keep up the good job you do. 🥰

My mom used to drink sauerkraut juice, every day. She said it helped to digest her food, which I believe. It is a proven fact, that so much fermented food a day, is beneficial, to our health. Maybe you could research fermented products, for gut health. Anyway, you and Joe work well together, and the boys are a joy to watch!

When I had your type of pain issues and many test and biopsies (long story short) and my MD gave me a test that no one else did....and that was a Radioactive Dye test, that revealed my Cystic Duct (that connects the Gallbladder to the Extrahepatic Bile Duct) was inflamed, infected and was no longer functioning, so they removed my Gallbladder and the pain and all the horrible issues disappeared and have never returned. Good luck with your issues and I Pray 🙏 that it is resolved and you receive the right diagnosis and treatment 🙏 😊 🙌

I suggested the therma cells for bugs. Help for the stomach is this. STOP coffee, chicken bone broth 3 times a day., no spices, bland food and prilosec 14 or 21 days. Do not eat or drink 3 hours before bed. Helped my son after his stomach was damaged from drugs he was on after his myocarditis. If the pain goes away or subsides after you eat that is a good indication that it is either reflux or GERD

The Conservation Center is Awesome, the animals look content. They didn’t look scared or unhappy, but some very sleepy 😴 When my son was 12 and my parents were visiting us for his birthday in Maine, I have a photo with my mother near a bear, smiling. It’s precious to me, because my mom passed away in 2014. I can look at that photo and see my mom in Maine, where I live😊.

Might be time for a roasted rooster or at least can and make stock. Can't promise another one won't crow once gone, but hopefully less. Glad the boys enjoyed to wildlife. Shame still dealing with the painful days. Hope the Doc can figure it out. They don't usually fix those hernias located there. Found mine years ago and it does shift and cause pain and acid reflux. Fingers crossed you can get relief. That wood shed will be nice. Joe's doing a great job. Take care and enjoy your 4th.🎉🎉🎉

With regards to your stomach issue… SUGGESTIONS : Potato juice Potato juice: 1. 1/4 potato juice & 3/4 water ( you may add honey or carrots to help sweeten & improve the taste) Drink juice first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. Maybe alternate potato juice one day and cabbage juice the next day. 2. It helps destroy the stomach bacteria instead of using antibiotics 3. It helps resolve acid reflux . 4. It helps resolve stomach ulcers Chicken bone marrow : Accumulate your chicken bone in your freezer Make a big pot of chicken bone & water cook it overnight Look up recipe in KZbin Last hour, add potatoes, cabbage, garlic, onions & carrots Kimchi: fermented… cabbage, carrots, garlic, water Look up recipe in KZbin It all helps the stomach & gut. Continue to KZbin research your homemade recipes. Once you get your garden going again & start eating the food you grow and harvest, I’m certain you will start healing your body once again.😊

I know you have had a lot of tests for your pain. I just wanted to share my story of 10 years of pain and an unnecessary surgery to boot! I had endoscopes, colonoscopies, ultrasounds, was refereed to a pain clinic, and multiple blood work ups etc. I was told that the pain could be coming from my ovaries where a few cysts were. I have had cysts off and on ever since puberty and the always came and went. However, I went ahead with the recombination for a partial hysterectomy and when I woke up, I still had the same pain. This was a span of 10 years and I had all but given up but sometimes the pain would get really bad, so I kept trying different doctors. I y daughter and I were researching ourselves on the internet so much and she finally said, “hey, mom, have you had your parathyroid’s checked “? I said, I don’t know so I went to my doctor to see if any of those tests measured my calcium levels. Sure enough, all bloodwork showed that my levels were high. My doctor said that even though it was high, it was nothing to worry about. I let it go for a while but it kept nagging at me the more I researched it. If you have an issue with your parathyroid glands, it can cause excessive calcium build up which causes stomach cramping! So, I looked in my network for a specialist and drove 6 hrs to see him. He had a handheld ultrasound device and within 3 minutes said, “ here’s your issue, you have a tumor on your parathyroid gland”! He scheduled surgery and said that when they located it and removed it, they would test my blood before closing me up because the calcium level will drop instantly. Well it didn’t drop so he found another parathyroid gland that also had a tumor. He removed the 2nd one, tested my blood again and the calcium level had dropped to within a normal range. When I woke up a instantly cried because it was the first time in over 10 years that I was not in pain. I thank God for that doctor. I asked why, when it showed elevated levels in all of my past bloodwork did other doctors dismiss it. He said most go by text book levels and don’t consider that woman and calcium levels should be looked at more closely. It wouldn’t hurt if you could ask your doctor about your calcium level just to be sure this isn’t something that they are overlooking for you too. I wish you resolution and ease of pain Tina. God bless you. I’ll be praying for your healing. I do have side effects from having those levels so high for so many years, but I am thankful to say I am pain free.

I have a bleeding ulcer the size of a half dollar near the opening of my colon. Yes the pain, it's like for me, like a fist just below my sternum all the way through to my spine. Mine came as a result of my meds NSaid for Fibromyalgia. So, no more Nsaid for this girl! Then they put me on nexium to heal the bleeding ulcer. The Dr had me on nexium way too long which contributed (along with my BP meds of which I should never have been on in the first place since I had low BP, UGH) to my body now is CKD stage 3A. So, man made meds are DANGEROUS! So, thank you for sharing the cabbage juice. I will try it, since I still have the pain, bloating and nothing else has worked. Get healthy! Stay Safe! Little trick Joe and idk if you already knew this but you can turn your wood blade around (put it on backwards) to use it to cut sheet metal tin roofing metal.. use to help my uncle build gazebos and docks on customers lake houses. After we cut all our wood and framed it all up we’d turn the blade around and cut all our metal roofing. Works great just make sure your working on a good stable work table or saw horses.

I would recommend that you go on a milk and orange juice diet. When you are hungry or thirsty mix equal parts whole milk & orange juice with pulp. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes until thick and drink. NO water, or food or snacks do for 2 weeks. It healed my mom's bleeding uncler many years ago and cured mine 45 years ago. You should be able to feel a difference in real short order. If you are lactose intolerant just use A2A2 milk. This recipe was recommended by the family doctor back in 1969. You might not ever want another Orange Julius again...LOL

I had a few stomach ulcers and they would not go away. I ate oatmeal, potatoes, cream of wheat, milk, bread, crackers, cheese, yogurt, beans and rice. No fruit. No spices. And i made a concoction of garlic and honey and took two or three teaspoons 3 times per day. When it became real bad (I also have a hiatal hernia ) I would drink honey. I would take a few gulps laying on my back…wait.then lay on my side and do the same …then belly and other side. Me esophagus was inflamed and my hernia. This ensured i was completely coated and my stomach was full of honey. Mine would not heal and this healed me. I do believe the very bland diet and the honey and garlic was the answer.

Tina, you have no idea how badly I needed to see this today. I know the boys are loving it. I am too. ♥️ Text more after the video. I'm so loving seeing all your sweet faces. 🙌🏻 Tina, I prayed for you as soon as you ask. In 2007, I had every symptom you've mentioned. I had a couple of ulcers and a small hiatal hernia. For two years, I suffered like you and all the while the doctors saying none of the above was causing the pain. Over and over with every scan imaginable, they assured me it wasn't my gallbladder. Three days after my last Dr. Gastro appointment, I was rushed into emergency surgery. My gallbladder had literally exploded. Took a few surgeries to get all the gallstones out of the bile ducts but girl, to this day I can eat anything and everything, I've never had heart burn again, no acid reflex, nothing! I could eat a cast iron skillet and it not bother me. 😂 Oh yeah, funny thing, 8 weeks after my surgeries, there were no signs of a hiatal hernia and no sign of any ulcers! 🙌🏻. My prayer for you is for a easy fix and complete healing, Sis. I love y'all, goofballs. 😂♥️🙏🏻♥️

Gallbladder attacks can be terrible pain that comes and goes. My pain was centered below the bottom of the breastbone. It was so painful I was close to vomiting.. hugging the porcelain throne. My surgery was back in the day with a 12+” painful incision. Now, they can do it by scopes with small incision. Should be less painful recovery. Good luck! Seems like your doctor is taking good care of you. After the pain of the recovery, I felt so much better and no further problems.

I had a huge stress related ulcer years ago and I wanted to go natural for healing because I'm allergic to tons of medications. I drank aloe vera juice every morning on an empty stomach. They have non flavored clear aloe vera and you only drink about 2-4 ounces mixed with juice or by itself, I mixed it with papaya juice. I also chewed on papaya enzyme pills after each meal. You can get them at most stores and amazon. You just chew on 4 pills after each meal and it helps break down your food and digest it. It's so easy and took a few months but it healed it right up. I had a little inflammation in my stomach after my endoscopy and went back on the aloe vera juice for four months and it worked great. Hope that helps. ❤️🙏

Instead of explaining your life to these Bozo's who like to dis you, just ignore them. We who know how it is to help our husband do a project are well aware of how to stay out of the way when needed and do our part when needed. My husband and I just put together shelves for my gardening bench area. I helped by holding the pieces while he fit them together. Everyone is important. Keep up the good teamwork! Love to watch you guys.

Sister I have an idea. You can build the wood shed on to the chicken coop and then you save time and money by not having to build a wall. That’s how the old timers built in Eastern Coastal NC. They built a long structure by adding on to the end one. Lol. It saves money and time and keeps things together instead of all over the property. Just a thought 💭Love y’all and your videos ❤ Keep em coming 😊 17:40

Have you ever tried Aloe Vera Juice? It helped my husband so much but you have to sure to get the right stuff. The only thing that worked for him was George’s Aloe Vera juice. It has no flavor, and he had to go to a health food store to find it. When I tasted it I was sure this company was just selling water and passing it off as aloe. But low and behold it worked for him! It was kinda pricey but it worked. He didn’t have any ulcers but had that exact pain you are describing. He does have a small hiatal hernia as well.

Hi Tina, great video. Alaska is so beautiful, Not sure if this relates to you, but I used to have pain kinda like that & at first my doc thought it was heart burn. After about a year. It got worse. Kept going in & out of the hospital. They said I had Pancreatitis issues. But the pain didn't go away. Eventually they found out there was a gallstone in the bio-duckt by my pancreas. No more problems. Praise Jesus.

Insist on a hyda scan. They usually won’t offer one. My daughter had no stones but I just really thought it was gallbladder. Eventually she got the scan and found her gallbladder was only functioning at 7%. Had it removed and no more problems.

Hi! Years ago I did a triple antibiotic treatment. That ruled out H Pylori. Recurring pains seem to be kept at bay with Milk Thistle, White Bean Extract, Turmeric formula. Really have to balance the acid / alkaline state of my system. Any foods or supplements that support lower gut bacteria - probiotics I think are helping. But you may have tried all these by now. Wishing you good healing! What a wonderful life you have chosen! Add a layer of hardware cloth wiring around your chicken yard - will keep weasels and snakes out.
