@@meowmeow575 i know... those mostly just remove the effort of pedalling or paddling. Ive raced people with the torqueedo electric motor while on a pedal kayak. human burst speed is better than most trolling motors and as far as outboards. ive seen a few guys out there with 9.9hp motors. but they have to run an outrigger to compensate for the extra weight, and give a place to mount where they can reach it. and they arent going over 10-15knots anyways. kayaks are made for slow speed stability, not getting up on a plane... which is almost required for a small craft to reach 20-30knots.

I've watched these Asian guys build incredible boats about that size. A 20 HP Suzuki 4 stroke- $3000. Boat plans from Sears and Roebuck- $20. $1500- fasteners, epoxy, glue, tools, marine grade wood and sauna to make your plywood soft and bendable. That's under $5000.😮

I’ve ridden on these quite a few times. I have family who owns a few. They’re super stable and a fun time! With that being said, it isn’t anywhere closer to being worth the 15k. Get you a aluminum boat or even a bass boat and save 10k

Buy a used johnboat and trailer, can get one under $700, not sporty, but one of the best. For shallow water action get a tunnel hull, also good for duck hunting.
