Great to read this reply!! I grew up fishing smaller lake with very large pikeand bass. They fight really well, which can lead to some good “eats”with friends and family. I would love to fish the oceans though, as well as explore some of the beautiful fauna and flora that reside there!! Take care, stay safe, healthy, happy and best wishes for the new year in ‘25 from Canada ❤

Watching your videos 100% guarantees to brighten my day up 😀. You are always entertaining & there is never a dull moment, 110% effort everytime all the time but never too serious with it. Oh well guys the lady of the lake 🐊 evades your capture yet again, but never mind surely that is just another excuse for a revisit in another 12months time?🤞😉 I also like how you choose to keep the technology low to keep the angling as pure as possible without the aid of things like livescope etc.. Just using the deeper to find features, contour & depth variations. I also love them float tubes, they are definitely a thought for my UK future pike adventures where lots of parts of lakes would be made more accessible than using a traditional boat. Top angling guys keep up the good work! 👌🎣

All pike fisherman have their own go-to lures. All we fish for are muskie and big 40inch plus pike I would highly recommend trying super vibrox musky killer size spinners like a #6 in size they absolutely slay the pike off the Mississippi River here in USA. The lures are expensive but they are worth it. Also joe Bucher baits. I mean if your going after the great great grandma pike she will prob eat every few days and eat large food. Maybe try some giant sucker's or catch a few perch and quickstrike rig them on a bobber behind your float tube's while fishing all day. I'm excited to see the big girl. Water looks perfect for giant pike

FYI Fish from the shore into the water. Large pike lay on the shoreline waiting to catch small birds in the morning and evening as birds roost next to the shoreline in the trees. The pike will lay a couple feet from shore and lunge up to catch birds out of the trees.
@mrgrant706712 күн бұрын
I know of tiny loch that would blow your minds . It has no tiny fish in it, the smallest pike I've caught is 11lb. If you fish dead bait you will catch biggest fish mostly 18lb - 35lb near enough every cast. Even the perch can reach 2lb. You know when you have a biggy it feels like a sack of tatties, 😊

Great video!I am planning on going fishing Pike in Sweden. What kind of Leader do you use and size? I am looking for alternatives that are not a metal leaders.
@Boatside2 ай бұрын
Thanks! We tie the leaders ourselves, in 0,9 mm flourocarbon. We like to make them quite long, around 70-90 cm, incase a big pike starts to roll during the fight.
@JonathanAKuhn2 ай бұрын
@@Boatside Thats great info. Thank you very much. Do you think same size leader in Mono would work? or there is something specific in Fluorocarbon you look in it? and thanks again for the great content. You guys are for sure my learning source for fishing in Sweden.
@Boatside2 ай бұрын
@@JonathanAKuhnActually that’s a great question. Maybe it works, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anyone using it. Maybe it is a little bit cheaper, but a spool of 25 m fluorocarbon costs maybe 20€ and will last you decades. After a really good day the leader might be scratched, so then you can just trim off 5 cm and go at it again. Appreciate your words!
