@@mikeygermsheid4643 Ontario, especially NW Ontario, does have a natural resources issue. My wife is from Manitoba and I am from NW Ontario. I can confirm the fishing is much better in Manitoba, especially trophy fishing. Here at home there is a real problem with poachers, lack of law enforcement and even legal over-harvesting. Locals have nearly zero sense of conservation. Only fish here that is world class is the smallmouth bass, they are invasive and taking over all the lakes. Rainy Lake has good bass fishing, if he came here it would probably be for them!

Saw the title of shallow water pike and assumed there would be aqua vu footage but when you said dark water I knew that wouldn't be the case but seeing those fish show up sooooo huge on the mega live was nearly just as exciting.

Really love seeing videos on lakes around Flin Flon. We've been going to Athapap for 15 years for trophy pike and have missed it the last couple seasons. Seeing you catch pike in Neso is getting me through until our next trip in July. Great little lake by the way, we've taken the boats across the highway and pike fished in there a few times and it's always a fun day.

Clayton, when fishing in forward view you can set your transducser 5-10ft behind you so it shoots passed you. this will give you all the benefits of forward view and seeing more of your two baits better like you can in downview

Hey Clayton, just reading all the comments on your heater issues this year. The heater lights then goes off when trying to run. That's because in the extreme cold the liquid propane fuel in the tank can't boil off to a gas fast enough. I believe the boiling point for propane is around -42 c. The only way you can get the liquid to boil off to keep your heater constantly running is to heat the propane cylinder in the extreme weather you are fishing in. Great video as always.
